  1. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 08:29 PM) Iguchi hit the ball to right. This is what small ball teams do. They dont pull every single pitch. Nice AB Gooch. It was an ok AB, but Gooch was definitely trying to pull it and just got lucky.
  2. QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 08:25 PM) I thought a small ball team would be fine against these types of pitchers :banghead whyyyyy? :banghead A small ball team would, but I haven't seen any small ball tonight. We know Willie can't steal but would it be so hard to put a hit and run on every once in a while?
  3. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 08:21 PM) That crazy loss against the A's has really sent us in a spin .... urghhhh Same thing every f***ing year. We lose to the A's then get shut down by pitchers like Robertson.
  4. "Back goes [outfielder], looking up, SEEEEEE YAAAA" "Get out the mustard and the mayonnaise because it's a GRAAAAND SALAMI" "Deep to left... Yastrzemski will not get it. It's a home run!! A three-run homer by Bucky Dent" "HIGHHHH, DEEEEEEP, OUTTA HERE!!!" "Gibson . . . swings! And a fly ball to deep right field! This is gonna be a home run!" "Back, back, back, back..." "UH OHHHHHH, UH OHHHHHH!" "HIIIIGH and DEEEEEP, WAAAAAAAAAAAAY BACK, and you can put it on the BOAAAAARD, YES!!! A two run homer and the Sox win it 8 to 6 and sweep the Twins!!!!"
  5. I picked him up based on numbers. I haven't seen any video of him pitching so I don't know what he throws. Anyone think I should sell high?
  6. I remember seeing on TV somewhere the most haunted place in the country is in Illinois. I don't remember if it was this place or not but I really should check it out sometime. I love that freaky s***.
  7. All I know is that with most wireless setups, the signal travels much better horizontally than vertically. If possible, have a router/repeater on any floor where you will have a computer. Rotating the antenna sideways can improve signal quality in the vertical direction too but it's still pretty bad going through multiple stories. Also make sure you set up good security. Use WPA and not any of the other stuff.
  8. Great pics kap, especially knowing what this pup went through.
  9. I'll eat em sometimes but I never really understood the point of chewing on a salty seed and spitting most of it out.
  10. Usually I hate them because the Sox can't win. I am so glad for the one tomorrow because it gives our players and coaches a chance to cool off and heal up. At the same time, it gives me a chance to cool off because watching these past two games has been awfully frustrating. Looking back, here's to a 6-2 road trip and hopefully a great homecoming for our first place team.
  11. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 03:29 PM) I don't know where everyone is getting this notoriously slow starter stuff. Check his splits from 2002 on. April is one of his better months. May is one of his worst. If that's true, what's he gonna do in May? Ground into triple plays?
  12. Seems like every season that starts well goes downhill after a series in Oakland.
  13. Hopefully Ozzie leaves the umps a little "present" in the clubhouse.
  14. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 04:12 PM) We do taht and we have some serious problems. Might want to reconsider, no matter how mad you are. We'd probably lose out the rest of the season.
  15. Ump might as well eject Dye too. He ain't gonna do s*** over there.
  16. Dye at short... If we win this game somehow... but we won't probably.
  17. Crede fined for tossing the bat. Let's get the f*** out of this town.
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 03:55 PM) Seriously, why not let Timo ph for Dye there? Oz fell asleep?
  19. QUOTE(quickman @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 03:51 PM) DYE equals konerko of 2003 Dye is worse. At least we knew Paulie could be good. Right now all we know about Dye is that he sux.
