  1. Yeah I saw this in chicagosports.com. Good to see Burly has the Wrong attitude going into this series against the Twins. "Oh I don't like to pitch there" Whine whine whine. At this point I don't think it matters who pitches that game, it sounds like we are gonna get another 18 run effort there.
  2. Sorry guys I had to edit question #10 because Danny is not going to be pitching.
  3. The Sox come in with a full head of steam just 5.5 games out. Is there hope on the Southside? Are the Sox for real? Will the Sox ever beat Cy Mays again??? These questions and more will hopefully be answered this week. Here are YOUR questions: 1) Who will win the series (CHW/MIN) (2 points)? 2) Who will have the most plate appearances, Rios, Rowand, or Harris (2 points)? 3) How many errors will the Sox make (4 points)? 4) Which Sox player will ground into the most double plays (4 points)? 5) How many hit batsmen will there be on both teams for the series (5 points)? 6) How many total runs will the bullpen allow (5 points)? 7) Who will lead the Sox in doubles (4 points)? 8) Will Harris steal a base (Y/N) (2 points)? 9) Which starting outfield will hit more homeruns (CHW/MIN) (2 points)? 10) Will anyone be ejected by an umpire (Y/N) (2 points)? Tiebreaker: How many total baserunners will Loaiza allow? EDIT: Sorry Danny Wright is not pitching against Minnesota this week so Buerhle can get a start. I had to change question #10.
  4. You only scored 2 points. The (-12) is just for tiebreaker purposes, it didn't mean anything for you since nobody tied your score of '2'. Better luck next time.

    Koch

He's been throwing 95 plus lately. Also, did anyone else notice how much higher the readings are on Wrigley's radar. I know Marte throws hard, but he's almost always 91-92 and today his fastball was 94. Do you think Marte is overthrowing his fastball? I always thought he was dominant with his fastball that was closer to 90 but with alot of movement. Maybe the change is straightening his fastball out too much.
  6. It was a good showing at the Urinal for the boys from the South Side taking 2 of 3 from the "first place" Cubs. Hitting outbursts and error-free defense lead the way to two straight victories before a costly 8th inning in game 3 cost us the sweep. Here are your answers: 1) Who will win the series (CHW/CHC) (2 points)? CHW 2) Who will hit more HRs, Corky, Frank, or tie (2 points)? tie 3) How many errors will the Sox make (4 points)? 0 4) How many runs (including unearned) will Buehrle give up (4 points)? 4 5) How many innings will Colon pitch (5 points)? 7.0 6) How many plate appearances will Konerko get (5 points)? 1 7) Who will lead the Sox in total bases (4 points)? Ordonez or Crede 8) Will Koch get a save (Y/N) (2 points)? Yes 9) Will the Sox steal a base (Y/N) (2 points)? No 10) Who will have more RBIs, Lee or Ordonez (2 points)? Lee Tiebreaker: How many K's will Sox batters total? 24 And here are your results given as name, W-L, score and tiebreaker: THE WINNER: sideshowapu (1 win)&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp 14 (-9) THE REST: Texsox&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp 12 (-6) Soxheads&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp 11 (-5) cwsox&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp 8 (-12) MartePartay&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp 6 (-9) JUGGERNAUT&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp 6 (-9) southsider2k3&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp 4 (-1) TheBigHurtBEGOOD&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp 4 (-4) THE LOSER: theoldroman (1 loss)&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp 2 (-12) Next up, Twins at the Hump Dome. Questions should be posted tomorrow afternoon at the latest.
  7. i dont know..... rick white is about as effective as a T-ball stand He got tagged by San Francisco, struggled a bit against SAN DIEGO, and had 1 good outing out of 2 against Boston. The thing is his last outing showed promise when he pitched 1 2/3 scoreless IP against Boston. You gotta feel for Don Cooper or the Bullpen Coach here. I mean just when you get one guy going, another guy starts struggling in a big way. Rick White has finally turned something around here and now our HANDS DOWN BEST RELIEVER is struggling. I hope we can fix him soon.
  8. Winning a series on the road is always a good thing when you're talking about the White Sox. I'm more concerned about which Sox team shows up in Minnesota.
  9. Yeah I noticed Marte's reaction to that non-called strike. I think he totally lost his focus after that. Did Grudzielanek get his hit on the next pitch? Either way the call affected Marte more than just making the count 2-1.
  10. I for one am not gonna get on Jerry for this. I saw O'Leary's career numbers against Colon. Guess what, Marte retired O'Leary too. Unfortunately Marte has been struggling something awful these past couple weeks. I was at that Giants game when Colon gave up the runs in the 9th. Marte came in afterwards and gave up the grand slam to Aurilia. Something is wrong with Marte and Colon has been victimized twice as a result. The umping was terrible I will say but it is no excuse for Marte to go in and not even be able to pitch an inning.
  11. I still remember in 1999 the shot of the depressed fans leaving Wrigley on Sunday. Then this car drives by honking its horns with a big black Sox flag and all the brooms sticking out. Priceless. Absolutely priceless.
  12. Stone will say something cynical like, "You can't expect to win ballgames when your players don't do the little things." Chip just says something stupid about the blimps or the sun or the best is when he goes silent. Ron Santo = "NOOOOO OH NOOOOOOO" (btw DOES ANYBODY HAVE THIS ON TAPE???? I CANT FIND IT ANYWHERE)
  13. Yeah he gets all fired up when he comes in which is good but he can't throw his fastball over the plate. He's always 1-0 2-0 then he has to throw some get-me-overs and is lucky when they stay in the park.
  14. As far as that goes. I don't think it's illegal if you use nothing else than your own eyes and ears. Using surveillance of any kind would be.
  15. I have a pretty good idea that that sign was stolen. The way Koch was struggling with the strikezone and it's the 9th inning there is no way you just guess on a pitchout there. The FOX announcers mentioned how Nossek is a genius of sign-stealing. So my MVP goes to Nossek, who says the bench coach doesn't do anything?
  16. I think I had about 3 heart attacks and an aneurysm today.
  17. This one better not get ugly. I don't think he'd try anything though with a suspension already hanging over his head.
  18. I believe it was the 4th inning, Sox go up 12-1 and Rowand is up and looks at ball 3 to go 3-0. Then Chimp says...absolutely nothing. The silence lasted about 10 or 15 seconds. It was beautiful, thanks Sox.

    Another official

I once honked at a girl and imagined she was naked. It was pretty hot.
  22. LoL, it sounds like you are young and with a strong heart. The shock alone could have killed a man.
  23. Loaiza and one of our jobbers for Carlos Beltran?
  24. Don't talk to anyone that may be a Cub fan. It has been known to kill brain cells faster than many a drug.
