  1. Cheating and getting away with it would only make him want to cheat more. I bet he did it very infrequently at first and gradually increased his usage of corked bats until finally he got careless and we have batgate II.
  2. Reader polls on CBS sportsline show out of 3000 voters, nearly two thirds (65%) think that Sammy used a corked bat during his 60HR seasons. Ahahah Take that Shammy :finger
  3. Watching that game was like watching a car accident in slow motion, with instant replay. We've seen it before, and we will probably see it some more. Teams tend to mail it in when the entire sports media covering your team has called for the head of their manager.
  4. Ok I apologize. I just needed to share my pain. Otherwise I feel like the dry heaves are comin on everytime I have to watch the Sox play.
  5. We have become losers. They make fun of how bad we are on Sportscenter. They have a death-watch on the manager but he won't get fired. We tend to go on losing streaks of 3 or 4 at a time before winning a game. We lose ALOT of games that we have had early leads in. I still like this team but it's really hard to defend it right now or the future of this team. Have I become a fan of a lovable loser? Please someone help me out here.
  6. Mental weakness starts at the top. Failure to execute fundamentals starts at the top. Lack of situational hitting starts at the top. You have a coaching staff for a reason. They are supposed to strengthen these types of areas of a ballclub. I don't care if you are a .300 hitter or a .240 hitter, you can learn to do these things. Things like sacrifice bunt, hit to the opposite field, execute a hit and run and basically play to win. The losing streak is at four and our best pitcher just pitched...
  7. Gagne will have 3 saves, probably 8 or 9 strikeouts total. Sox batting average for the series estimated at .140
  8. I said "whos the fat guy" because I think he had a hand in this s*** called the 2003 Chicago White Sox.
  9. Please be before we play SF...my first game of the season.
  10. I hope there is a source to this rumor. I get all excited every time this happens, I don't know if I can take much more disappointment.
  11. Yeah but the link has historyid=2 in it. So when I clicked it it loaded the map under my historyID of 2 which was some map of Illinois that I used a lil while ago.
  12. But never more than two in the same inning I hope. That might be good or something. I figure we don't have alot of great prospects now but we have some liquid assets... Bartolo, E-Lo, CLee, PK maybe, Maggs even
  13. But never more than two in the same inning I hope. That might be good or something.
  14. I'm not from LA or anything but your map link doesnt work.
  15. OMFG Tetsu Yofu lost?!?!? WTF BS Umping mutha f***ers HE IS f***ING READY FOR THE MAJORS GODDAMMIT CALL HIM UP NOW. HE IS THE FRANCHISE.
  16. Add another vote to the no's. Bonds >> Abreu Giles is a stud 1B hard to replace depending on your backups. Posada is one of the top producing catchers in the game right now especially with Piazza out his value increases. I rank the pitchers Woody first, Lidle and Lohse (lower WHIP), and finally MacDougal. Then you are getting Durham and Kent but I dunno what that will do to your 2B situation. Woody Williams is worth taking a shot at but it's hard to give up guys like Bonds, Giles and Posada. I love em all.
  17. Maybe we should get a de-humidor for the balls.
  18. Oooh for a tough question: How many series have we won on the road this year? My guess is 2?
  19. Cuz I am having a bit of trouble... :fyou Jerry Manuel
  20. Agreed. All we need is a faster version of D'Ang that plays CF or SS to be our leadoff man.
  21. Yeah but didn't Arizona own us for most of Spring Training? Well we did leave our bats in Arizona, maybe we can finally pick em up!
  22. Just remember last time Frank played first he nearly ended his career diving for that line drive down the line.
  23. Kenny Lofton is having a good season I think the problem is we have no reliable #2 hitter. Someone to get em over for the big boppers.
  24. I thought it would be fun in a sadistic sort of way to list excuses we have heard recently from the men in charge of our Pale hose. Here is what I can come up with, feel free to add and waste some time: Minnesota has to play on the West Coast too. We still play Minnesota x more times this year. We get to play Detroit next. The hitting will warm up with the weather. It would be easier to play without seeing all the empty blue seats. It's hard to play when you are booed by your own fans. There is plenty of time left. Oakland and Anaheim did it last year.
