QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 06:10 PM) Why not run Tekotte and let Greene hit for Gillaspie? Why do you trust Greene more than Gillaspie at the dish? But I agree on Tekotte running, isn't he our fastest bench player?

Now pinch run Wise? Or does it even matter?

Twins @ White Sox, 4/20/12
Dunn is 0-28 right now? Holy f***, I had no idea.

A Gillaspie walk-off would be pretty perfect, since he saved the game in the 8th.

Addison Reed and Santiago are the only ones left in the pen, right? This game better not go too deep in to extras....

Ok, found some 2007 team comparisons.... These are numbers before today's game.... AVG/OBP/SLG: 2007 - .246/.318/.404 2013 - .239/.276/.396 RISP avg: 2007 - .243 2013 - .177 R/game: 2007 - 4.28 2013 - 3.41 Batting K/9, B/9 2007 - 7.09, 3.28 2013 - 7.47, 1.64 So yeah, this team is pretty much on pace so far to be the worst offense in my lifetime maybe, or at least since 2000.

I wonder where the 2007 offense was at this point. Can Baseball Reference tell me?
-
Twins @ White Sox, 4/20/12
Well, good thing they didn't pinch run for Konerko, because our offense doesn't hit extra base hits.

Dewayne Wise, pinch run.

Wow, Morneau took that one off his shoes, that was kind of impressive.

Fox announcers guys said "8 Ks to 4 BB for Peavy so far. 2 to 1, that's a pretty good ratio" Are you kidding me? A K/BB of 2 is NOT good at all. It's like being a .250 hitter. It's the LEAST you need to be able to do is stay in the league. A 3 K/BB is pretty good.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 05:00 PM) WTF? Fox announcer just reported the attendance was 42,000. The ballpark holds quite a bit less than that. He said 22,000.

Speaking of Keppinger, he has 9 Ks this season. Alexei has 5. That's pretty odd so far. He's a career 6.5% K guy, he has a K% over 13 this season.

QUOTE (Baron @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 04:53 PM) Keppinger....what a waist of money so far Keppinger needs accomplish about a 0.7 WAR to be worth his contract. I'm fairly confident he can do that.

Oh man, that looked like Rios killed it.....Hawk would have been tricked.
-
Twins @ White Sox, 4/20/12
Well, at least Peavy will start the 7th I guess.
-
Twins @ White Sox, 4/20/12
Fox announcers - "Parmelee hits a lazy flyball to right" Meanwhile.....he hits a line drive in to the gap for a double.....

Twins @ White Sox, 4/20/12
Wow, what an awful looking Strike Em Out Throw Em Out. De Aza with an awful swing at ball 4 at his head, catcher pump fakes, and still throws out Flowers by 8 feet. Soooo much facepalm on that......f***ing christ.

Oh god, anyone ever see this? This is pretty funny. Ozzie got tricked by the hidden ball trick TWICE in the same season.....lol.

Twins @ White Sox, 4/20/12
All the sports writers blew up Twitter after Nava hit that HR to give Boston the late lead, then they blow the save in the 9th.....and crickets. It's not a good story, I guess. EDIT: Nevermind, these Fox announcers giving bad information. Ho hum.

Twins @ White Sox, 4/20/12
Ahhh, how unfortunate. This would be a typical Jake Peavy run if he scores.
-
Twins @ White Sox, 4/20/12
Blaaaah, Gillaspie looked safe.
-
Twins @ White Sox, 4/20/12
Peavy needed that 8 pitch inning, with 2 Ks.
