I have friends who go to Harvard and MIT. They seem to be fine, just very bored and watching the news for like 20 hours straight. -

Oh man, with this team and Dickey locating that knuckler, this team could strike out 13-14 before Dickey comes out. -

QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 07:38 AM) It's fake. They were unrelated episodes edited together. No they weren't, I just watched the episode. The 2 scenes are not back-to-back like the clip shows, but they are both from the same episode and everything I said in my comment is correct. -

Anyone hear the stuff relating to Family Guy's episode last month. Obviously a coincidence but very weird timing and similar content from the episode.... Here is a clip someone put together from the episode.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=playe...p;v=H5U5LiHnutw -- The theme of the episode was Peter going a terrorist sleeper cell group. -- Peter sets off 2 bombs, a few seconds apart, by way of his cell phone. -- They show a scene where Peter drives his car through the BOSTON marathon by running over people, leaving the street full of blood and dead bodies. -- The terrorist discuss the plot and say they will set off the bombs during "afternoon rush hour", which is when it happened in Boston. All just extremely strange and coincidental, and unfortunate that people will somehow blame Family Guy is some form, like that nutjob Alex Jones apparently already has, saying the US Gov't set up this whole thing. -

QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 12:32 AM) Even if that's his future, I'll take it. When's the last time the Sox had a nice solid UTIL guy off the bench? The last few years, I think that has hurt the Sox. And I would consider a guy like that a fringy prospect. And I don't mean it as in he is someone who is barely a top 20 guy, and is maybe 25 or 26 and in AA. I mean as far as top prospects for this team, guys we can pencil in to future projected lineups in a couple years. I think he could play a bench role at some point, but will never be a starter for more than a 1-season experiment because of injury or rebuilding.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 03:07 PM) You are literally the only person I've seen who follows baseball that considers Carlos Sanchez a fringe utility player. He's 20 years old and hitting .300+ with good plate discipline at very advanced levels. He's constantly mentioned among the top prospects in an ever-improving White Sox system and has been as high as #61 in the game lists I've seen. I just don't trust he will ever amount to more than a backup or utility infielder type. He doesn't impress me.

Santiago dominated yet again. Axelrod sputtered and crash landed in to a win for the Sox.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 07:55 PM) A pitcher giving up 10 runs is a good thing? I must live in a bizzaro-world apparently. In which the team wins and a better, more capable player takes his place. Yes. How can sports really be this black and white to you? I think you need a new hobby, turn off the TV and watch golf or something. -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 07:13 PM) Yes. We should root for bad things to happen to the team... in April. What? How is a win rooting for bad things to happen? We all presumably want Santiago in the rotation, that's a good thing. -

I guess we should all be hoping for a slugfest. A 12-10 win or something with Axe gives up all 10, so Santiago can finally be unleashed. Santiago Unchained. -
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 02:23 PM) So you're all for rushing Sanchez up a level but you don't forget to let everyone know every day how awful it is for them to be rushing Hawkins up a level. Gotcha. Hawkins is a top prospect. Carlos Sanchez is a fringe utility player. I'm not worried about them rushing him either, because he's not a prospect worth protecting in my opinion.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 10:46 AM) You didn't pick Jaye. You picked the same two guys this year. I honestly didn't even remember a thread like this existed last year, I was just remembering back to players I always looked at the boxscores for, that no one else probably did.

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 02:07 PM) Jared Mitchell has K'd in 76 of his 169 official at bats in AAA during his career. It's to the point with him I wouldn't mind the Sox trading him for another high potential, low production player in another organization if he has any value left. Go by PA, not AB.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 01:38 AM) Puig hitting .389 with 2 homers and 7 RBI's already. Seems like he might end up the best Cuban hitter of that young group of Cubans in Cespedes (a bit injury prone so far, but a very solid rookie campaign...and he would have more value as pure CFer than a corner guy), Viciedo and Soler. At least Walker was 2/4 with an XB hit and 3 RBI's. And Thompson's over .260. That seems AWFULLY premature.

Just watched S3 premiere of The Borgias. Man, Mikileto (sp?) is such a bad ass.

I'm no terrorist, but wouldn't Al-Qaeda WANT to claim any event like this as their own? Isn't a perfect scenario for them one in which they can credit for an American attack, become feared and perceived as powerful and still relevant, and yet they didn't have to do anything at all? It just seems to me that we can't believe them if they claim they were responsible for this.
