  1. Let's go, who else wants in? We are in the offseason right now, perfect time to jump on in.
  2. Now that I've been unchained, let's try to get some more members in this thing. The last 3 months have been incredibly unfair to you guys, and our membership has been cut in half because of it, but let's keep this core together and add on some fresh blood. Recruit your friends. family, what have you.
  3. QUOTE (ptatc @ Dec 19, 2012 -> 09:00 AM) How is that possible? They are played at the same time in the Spring. It was a joke, because lacrosse players are often labeled as being annoying douchebags.
  4. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Dec 19, 2012 -> 11:50 AM) 95 rating...................STUD 97+ for me, with 38 contact. LOL.
  5. Holy good god all mighty. Justin F'ing Morneau has a OBP of almost .700!!! 41 games in, and he has 99 walks!!! Wow. He has 99 walks, and only 92 AB. He is on pace for almost 400 walks this season.....Next highest person has 37 walks. Still a very high total for only 40-something games played, but not astronomical. Unbelievable. 18 of those are IBB, which is also the highest by a lot, but still. Holy s*** AL Central pitchers, throw some strikes!
  6. Ok, putting sanctions on trading with AL CPU teams. I have a person who is interested in taking Detroit, so we will see if that happens, and then one of our owners had said he had a friend who was interested. So we may be down to 2 teams left to fill the AL. Not bad at all.
  7. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 10:25 PM) Well that explains a lot. Dual sport athlete. Baseball and lacrosse.
  8. QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 08:29 PM) That's such a low-ball offer. I'd at least give him what he got last year. Yeah, I'd be ok with double that amount. $1 yr/$8M seems fair enough, even though he could probably get $10M from someone else (or I thought he could when the offseason started)
  9. For some reason this site doesn't save SENT PMs, so GoGoSox2k2, if you could post my reply on here to the PM you just sent me, that would be cool. Long story short of that PM before he posts it, we aren't going to start the league over. 14 is the max, and we have 10. Once we go to the feeder system in a few days, AL teams won't be purged anymore, and really, I think Seattle is the only team that has been traded with so far of the remaining 4 AL teams. If you want, we can block off trades to AL CPU teams to keep them in tact if you are really worried about it. I'm cool with that.
  10. 3-team trade completed..... Yankees get: SS Brent Lillibridge (76) 3B/LF Matt Moses (65++) White Sox get: SP Erik Bedard (88) Mariners get: SS Derek Jeter (88) OF Dewayne Wise (75) RP DJ Carrasco (77)
  11. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 02:47 PM) I totally get what your saying, but that wouldn't mean Brody wasn't part of the plot in the eyes of the CIA or Saul. Because he would have been the reason a car with explosives entered the parking lot in the first place. We have no idea that he didn't put explosives there. Oh, I know that, but I am saying it's a step in the right direction if they can identify the person who actually did it, and piece it together from there. Yeah, even if he didn't touch the car at all that day, he could still be involved.
  12. Oh my god, my #1, #2, and #3 starters all got injured......shiiiiiit. And newly acquired Mariano Rivera s*** the bed for me. 11+ ERA, and blew 2 games.
  13. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 03:32 PM) I don't think it was Brody either. But I'm saying even if they had video of someone else moving the car, they would have still needed Brody's car to get it in the parking lot to begin with. I'm guessing the CIA parking lot isn't exactly a mall open lot. Brody even said he parked his car in Lot C. They simply took it from Lot C, and drove it up to the front of the building. That's what I'm saying, they must have video of someone breaking in to Brody's car in Lot C, and the parking it in front of the ceremony and then getting out.
  14. Salary dump for Yankees. The Chicago White Sox offer Brian N. Anderson CF-27 (80) $2,000,000 to the New York Yankees for Mariano Rivera RP-39 (91)
  15. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 03:27 PM) I don't understand why you would think he'd still not be implicated considering it would have been his clearance that got the car there in the first place, and, you know, his prior dealings as a terrorist. What do you mean it would be his clearance that got the car there? And when Brody and Carrie were at the ceremony, wasn't it Carrie who signaled to him that they should leave and go talk? It seemed as if Brody was going to stay for the whole event until Carrie signaled for him. That's another reason why I don't think Brody was behind this. Whoever did it may have been hoping to take out Brody in the attack as well.
  16. My cousin thinks that Quinn is behind the bombing. He thinks he decided to leave Brody alive so that way he could use him as a scapegoat for the bombing, and then leaked the video of Brody to the news to back that up. Then he threatened Estes to not kill Brody because he wanted him alive so he could be framed. Kind of farfetched, but plausible.
  17. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 11:19 AM) But at some point, that will have to end. I would think he will throw 200 innings, but you never know what may happen. Remember in Spring Training 2005 when he supposedly broke his foot? NO! Buehrle will throw 200 innings until he retires at 53 damn it!
  18. Dexter- I totally called it about Deb NOT drugging herself to frame Hannah. Like I said, WAY too risky to almost kill yourself to break up the relationship. It didn't add up. Did not see that scene of Dex getting arrested actually happen though. They conditioned up to pick up on dream sequence previews, that they tricked most of us. Nicely done. Homeland - I liked where it was going until they tried to make us believe Langley, the CIA headquarters, would somehow not have cameras on its parking lots, especially a camera of the front of the building. I mean, maybe that will come out Ep. 1 of next season to clear Brody's name in at least the moving of the car aspect of it, but I can't imagine they wouldn't have cameras to prove someone else took Brody's car and parked it there. Also, how the hell do they give Carrie a PROMOTION after all that? Yeah, he has great instinct, but she doesn't follow orders and is an emotional mess. Fully re-instate her, but don't give her a promotion, that's farfetched.
  19. The lack of ANY White Sox rumors over the past.....2 weeks or so has been really, really, painstakingly boring. Not even the winter meetings really gave us anything other than that Floyd, De Aza, and Viciedo were discussed.....
  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 09:58 AM) Until it happens, I am a believer in Verlander. The guy is conditioned to be a marathon pitcher. Which is exactly why I picked Buehrle. Dude has thrown over 200+ innings for 12 straight seasons now, every full season he has been in the league.
  21. QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 07:44 AM) Guys, I'm moving this to the fantasy sports area. And in to obscurity we go. At least we got our 10 player min. before this happened.
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 10:51 AM) Only the last two years in his career has he done that. People are missing the obvious guess in Justin Verlander. Not those people who think Leyland letting JV throw 130 pitches each game will come back to bite him eventually.
  23. QUOTE (juddling @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 04:01 AM) yeah......about that.....I wandered on down to my GM's office to talk about his over-zealous spending. He threw a bottle at me and told me to get the hell out of his office and to tell Gene Autry to f*** himself..... We are staging an intervention next week. I will be calling Chicago soon to see if Hawk is available for the job.... Ha, very nice. Well, be aware that you have a player to receive amnesty for, and make sure you check out the CONTRACTS page. You can often re-sign players for cheaper than their current deals, which is immediately reflected and will save you money in the long run. Or you can resign them at a lower price and then immediately trade them to a computer team for spare parts. Or, you can offer me some trades. I am looking for a 3B, RP, and possibly a SP. Willing to take vets with high salaries.
  24. QUOTE (YASNY @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 02:49 AM) Name me one pitcher that you can abolutely guarantee will pitch 190 innings in 2013. You can't, therefore you have no point. Mark Buehrle. BOOM. *drops the mic*
