We need these pitchers to step up and all of them laid an egg man. A lot of other things went wrong in this series, including LaRussa, but the starters are why we're looking at a sweep.

They absolutely should get Semien, Story, Baez or Chris Taylor (depending on who they can convince to play 2B). My concern is they'll be "too expensive" for the Sox and they'll end up with a second tier option who won't perform and we'll be in the same spot we are now.

If Giolito goes 5+ IP 2 ER we're probably not having this meltdown. A lot rests on his shoulders for sure. We're not gonna win without solid starting pitching. That said, this ended up being one of those margin games where a manager can make a difference, and LaRussa failed.

I know, I was just responding to the idea that Hahn could've done something about the hire. There's just no way unless he quit his job, which he would never do (I probably wouldn't either - wait until you get an offer at least).
