  1. The trade is whatever. Lotto ticket that'll probably never make it out of A ball. Let's see if the Sox player development can do something with him. Not a fan of these kinds of trades but you're not getting much for a guy who is a terrible defender and with one season as a league average hitter with little plate discipline. I'd be SHOCKED if the Blue Jays turn him into a competent outfielder. Just not going to happen with his defensive profile. This also opens the door for Antonacci.
  2. Well, the pitching has been pretty good!
  3. I like everything up to Acuna. From him on down it's pretty 🤢. Hays and Pereira coming back will hopefully make it a bit better, but the outfield is still rough.
  4. As a Northern Italian I approve
  5. Yea that was an easy overturn
  6. Hey that's a little more than 1 run per game!
  7. Yeah, even if he's a complete idiot jerkface Sosa should be DHing. They need offense so bad right now. 11 runs given up in 3 games is a winnable series. Hopefully the bats warm up once they get Hays, Teel and Pereira back, and start bringing up some guys from the minors.
  8. Great time for a Colson walkoff
  9. I've seen "Taylor Ward doubles" a hell of a lot more this series than I expected or wanted to.
  10. I still hold out hope for Drew Thorpe
  11. Just can't beat a team when they score 10 runs in 3 games
  12. I remember people really wanted Coby Mayo in a Cease trade. Glad that didn't happen. O's should've dumped him when they had the chance.
  13. I mean they probably won't, but they should.
  14. Might as well give him a shot as the backup SS/2B/DH. Not like Acuna or Murray are roster locks.
  15. If he's not hitting by like mid May I think they have to cut him.
  16. Losing Baldwin, Hays and Teel hurts. Maybe Pereira too? I'd at least be more hopeful trying him out there than some of these stiffs. I'm not too concerned about the roster chaff they have though. I doubt most of them will still be here once they get Hays, Teel (and maybe Pereira) back. Antonacci and Bergolla will very likely be up this year too.
  17. This is the one reason I want McGuire on the team
  18. He made really weak contact on every pitch in that at-bat, and it's not like the pitcher was acing him on tough pitches.
  19. I'm hopeful they can salvage something decent out of him, even a utility guy, but it is not looking good right now. He's a long swing slap hitter with poor outer half coverage and a not great eye.
  20. That is a LONG swing
  21. I'll be really surprised if they overturn that stolen base.
  22. They should've also been able to put more up on Bradish because he looked like crap, but I guess I can't be too upset with 3 runs in 5 innings.
  23. Leads are fleeting
  24. God Benintendi blows
