  1. I wouldn't hate it. Then we can trade him again next year!
  2. Colson the difference in this one. Very much enjoying scoring runs!
  3. OUCH Lenyn. Hope he’s ok.
  4. I like having players good enough to take advantage of a struggling pitcher

    Never mind - I can’t tell time
  6. Well, I at least take solace in the fact that my post about the offense is once again correct.
  7. Yeah… that is just too shallow to take a chance with someone who isn’t a burner.
  8. Why does that matter? Players move around a lot in the minors. The Barons were 38-31 in the first half. They're 32-15 in the second half. A big reason for that large improvement is adding good players in the Sox top 30 to the roster.
  9. That's not true. re: Birmingham. Braden Montgomery, Hagen Smith, Tanner McDougal and Sam Antonacci are all in the top 10 of Sox Machine's top 30 prospects and have a solid chance to make an MLB impact. William Bergolla (15th) and Shane Murphy (25th) are also in AA.
  10. Relievers run hot and cold all the time. It's perfectly possible Kopech just rode a hot streak last year. Also, Kopech has made 8 appearances this season and hasn't pitched since June. People acting like he was saved by the Dodgers and he's some stud reliever now are just being ridiculous. The Sox have had plenty of known issues without inventing random nonsense to get mad about.
  11. Vaughn might be coming back down to earth - last 7 games: .192/.300/.231/.531
  12. Guess I should’ve waited for an off day
  13. Definitely seems to have found something, but I'll reserve full judgement until next year, as his hot streak in Milwaukee has basically just gotten him back around his career averages.
  14. Team: Individual: Quero - .304/.338/.491/.831 Sosa - .291/.336/.544/.880 Vargas - .286/.349/.455/.803 Robert - .303/.370/.461/.831 Baldwin - .268/.339/.518/.857 Teel - .306/.351/.472/.823 Montgomery - .212/.255/.538/.793 Some encouraging signs so far with the younger guys and a nice bounce back from Robert. Hopefully they can keep it up throughout the rest of the second half.
  15. What the heck happened to Strider? He looked terrible.
  16. See? Hit a bunch of homers. It’s easy.
  17. That's the kind of bullshit I'm used to facing the Royals
  18. Probably smart to stop throwing Manzardo low offspeed
  19. Why don't the Sox hit a bunch of homers every game? Are they stupid?
  20. This isn’t as fun as when they were winning all those games and scoring all those runs

Maybe some good news re: Hagen Smith:
  22. Headed to T-Mobile park to see the Mariners and Rangers today. Pretty fun Seattle team with a TON of power now that they added Naylor and Suarez. Interested to see how that plays in their massive stadium.
  23. Same, especially since he’s been good lately. Guessing the offers were all mediocre and I don’t think you move a guy who could end up around 2 fWAR if he stays productive for anything that isn’t going to contribute. Interested to see if any of the offers leak.
