  1. It’s a generational thing. I’m sure Renteria now, Ozzie 15 years ago, or Dusty Baker 20 years ago to a player not named Bonds, would have called for 3-0 take too in that situation.
  2. The west coast thing doesn’t help. We’re talking about Tatis because he was signed by the Sox, but I don’t know if the average sports fan cares. To me, Trout would be a bigger star if MLB played a balanced schedule and he tried to be more visible.
  3. I was pretty thorough in my posts and how I feel. Read them back. If you don’t understand, oh well.
  4. Agreed about Woodward and the Mike Minor thing. That was horse shit.
  5. Point is, I agree that 3-0 hitting is ok. But Tingler is a human being that actually knows people in the other dugout. It was his call to make Tatis take one pitch up 7 runs with one out in the top of the 8th. One pitch. To me, I probably wouldn’t have made that call. I’d let him hit in the best hitters count. If that’s the new norm in baseball, I’m all for it. But I do understand where Tingler is coming from...that 39 yr old geezer.
  6. Read my post above, and take a chill pill.
  7. I see both sides of the issue, but the game is played and managed by human beings. Tingler coming from the Rangers org, gave the take sign. If Tatis missed it because it didn’t cross his mind that he would be given the take sign, that’s one thing. If he ignored it, he messed up. On the other hand, in this run scoring environment, go ahead and hit when you can. I’d draw the line at stealing a base when you’re up huge.
  8. His manager gave him the take sign on 3-0 up 7 runs in the 8th. Nothing wrong with that. Tatis hit a grand slam. Great, it worked out for him. But hitting 3-1 is still a good count to hit, or you get the rbi walk.
  9. 2 homers (11), 7 rbi (28)
  10. Seager brothers homer in their first game against each other.
  11. 18 of next 24 vs Tigers, Royals, and Pirates. Time to beat the shit out of teams that are supposed to be bad.
  12. C’mon Yoan. Two steak sandwiches out there for you.
  13. Bad day. Even with the stupid 7-inning games, this team sucks.
  14. 6 weeks to play just slightly over .500 to be a 6, 7, or 8 seed. If they can’t do that, the coaching staff from top to bottom has to go.
  15. If Ricky’s boys don’t quit, I’d suggest they get it the fuck going.
  16. On pace for 258 runs scored. Anyone want to change their total?
  17. Lail made his Mariners debut. 3 major league games for three different teams.
  18. 18 of the next 27 vs Tigers, Royals, and Pirates, plus these 3 vs a rusty Cardinals team, and 3 vs Twins and Cubs. Anything less than 27-19 with two weeks left in the season isn’t good enough. Let’s go.
  19. Wow, Zach Plesac did himself no favors by making a video trying to explain his night out with friends. What a weasel, and Clevinger was worse for not admitting he was with him before flying back to Cleveland. Dipshits.
  20. 12:10 start on Saturday
