I don’t see why it wouldn’t be Thursday, August 12, 2021 vs the Yankees as long as the schedule plays out. The Sox are in Minnesota and the Yankees are in KC the day before.

Lail, one game as 26th man for the Yankees. 10.13 ERA, but he got credit for a hold. And yeah, he’s seen a lot of the Eastern US.

Agreed, it does suck that nationally, the Ryan thing is the first thing that comes up when Ventura is mentioned. To me, he’s a first round pick that played 10 good years with the Sox. Excellent fielder, bunch of grand slams, and a helluva funny, relatable guy that connected with the fan base. The managerial years were a waste, I’ve already forgotten about.

Cowboy hat Hawk with Drysdale was great. Hawk and Wimpy in the 90s, the best broadcast team. Nuf said. Post Wimpy-2005, not the same, but Hawk still had his A game 2006-2008, not bad, but a little cocky post championship 2009- retirement, a steady decline. Bitter, angry, not fun. Benetti- quite frankly, I know I’m never going to like him with or without Stone, who I hated when he was a Cubs guy. I’ll watch with the mute mostly or the radio side- Masur is a good listen, and DJ has never bothered me.
