  1. I’m not sure what the player rules are, but they were all wearing them in the auxiliary dugout, except Collins wasn’t.
  2. I just hope they’re trying to follow the rules. Nothing is foolproof, but I’ve seen high fives, fist bumps, spitting, and coaches with masks off (or on wrong). So, if there are rules, they should be policing each other non stop.
  3. Watching a little of the game there tonight. Definitely different, but they should be there for a while. They needed a roof.
  4. If the league isn’t decimated by Covid, I’ll view it as a legit season, just shorter...and different. Unfortunately, if the teams in the World Series haven’t been good in recent years, more people will view it as an asterisk season, but nothing you can do about that. As for individual accomplishments, I’m not really interested. Batting .400 would be a footnote. It’s more of a team game this season.
  5. I’ll never like Benetti’s broadcast, but I will spell his name right.
  6. Maybe, but I’m calling the Twins and Sox the two best teams in the Centrals.
  7. Well, since I said Sox and Twins will go 37-23, I agree. One will be a wildcard.
  8. Hopefully Lopez channels the same stuff he had when he 1-hit the Indians last year. But I’m sure Gio will be available if things go bad early on. Then the rest of the staff can relieve Rodon on Tuesday. Lots of arms. They will be used.
  9. Right, maybe 3-4 innings each. 60-ish pitches.
  10. Cease and Lopez are getting their work in this morning. No game today. Rodon/Gonzalez tomorrow night vs Brewers It would appear to be Giolito, Keuchel, Cease vs Minnesota and Lopez, Rodon/Gio, Giolito vs Cleveland
  11. He’s always going to have at bats like that. He’ll lead the league in piddly grounders to the pitcher. But he’s also going to have a lot of hits. He’ll make every play, and be very reliable.
  12. Moncada in the lineup tonight.
  13. Not sure if it’s feasible, but Charlotte would be cool. Beautiful park.
  14. Under, but 290 to 310
  15. 6:40 would be an improvement, especially in a year without fans.
  16. Not Madrigal, but it would cool if a player or two made their ML debut in a cornfield in Iowa. How about a Luis Basabe, say?
  17. He’s probably Konerko, but better. Yeah, I said it.
  18. I would think the latter. Really hope they just let he and Robert debut a week from tonight, batting 8th and 9th, and let the good times roll.
  19. Hope Moncada can get in there for an at-bat
  20. Good experience for Vaughn, but it truly sucks he wasn’t able to play 130 games at Birmingham this year. What’s the word on the AFL this year? They give up on that?
  21. Kudos to Garfien for the Josh Hamilton comp for Collins. Been said before obviously, but much better than Thome.
