It kind of sucks for Wolkow that the short season Rookie levels are gone. The question is how many years can you keep sending him back to Kannapolis? This would be year 3 (assuming that’s where he’s going again). If it’s a .600ish OBP, then maybe he’s just not talented enough to keep going in affiliated ball.

Jeff Kent, welcome to Cooperstown. In my opinion, he was the most deserving. So I have no problem. But I am surprised Mattingly didn’t get in after Dave Parker last year.

Not a fan of these 16-person committees, but if two get in, I hope it’s Mattingly and one of Dale Murphy or Jeff Kent.
