Crochet Traded to Boston
I’d like to see Meidroth up just to see what he can do. Teel and Gonzalez at AAA but not for long. Montgomery- maybe W-S to start and flies through to AAA by the end?

Dick Allen, Tommy John up for HOF Consideration
RIP Rocky Colavito His Hall of Fame chances are better now that he’s gone.

Winter Meetings Catch-all
MLBN not even live at 7p on Tuesday. They really scaled back this year. They know it’s not what it used to be.

2025 Draft- 1. Nationals 2. Angels 3. Mariners

Winter Meetings Catch-all
They used to end it on Thursday morning with the Rule 5, but now that’s tomorrow afternoon. I think anything could happen Wednesday late, but probably not. They may officially end with minor league hiring events, but MLB Network doesn’t have programming there on Thursday.

Winter Meetings Catch-all
Crochet to the Reds tonight. Robert to the Phillies tomorrow. No. Same stuff we’ve read in quotes. It’s all GM speak until things actually happen.

White Sox asking for "top prospects" for Robert
121 losses is going to be tough to top, but I can’t imagine a scenario where the Sox don’t have the worst record again.

Manfred: mlb considering “Golden at bat” rule
Hopefully Manfred made the comment just to see the reaction. I’m happy baseball fans know it’s dumb and this will just go away. I’m no Manfred fan, but some of the recent changes- pitch timer and defensive alignment have been helpful for the pace of the game. The runner on second base in extra innings is dumb, and should start in the 12th inning if must be, but I can live with it. This golden at bat idea is garbage.

Dick Allen, Tommy John up for HOF Consideration
Mentioned it before, but who gets in is mostly a result of who is on the committee- and then it’s basically fixed on who gets 12 or more to get in. Based on the committee this year… I’ll say Dick Allen and John Donaldson get in. Announcement on Sunday night.

Manfred: mlb considering “Golden at bat” rule
There have been plenty of big at bats that have been decided by lesser known names forever. It’s been a great part of baseball being different than any other game. This is just a dumb idea that is only going to put star offensive players in a position to fail more often.

Dodgers defenestrating Sox, Snell signs 5 years, $182 million
The sports are too different to compare. A floor and cap in baseball would help the product along with a few other things.

Dodgers defenestrating Sox, Snell signs 5 years, $182 million
I’d be for a fan strike until there’s a salary cap and floor, but it’s not going to happen.

2025 Old Sock Drawer
Chris Sale wins Cy and clinched his entry into the Hall. Cease 4th.

Jose Abreu back to the MLB soon?
“The MLB” has got to stop. Abreu? Good luck.

Dick Allen, Tommy John up for HOF Consideration
Yes, Cole has won a Cy-last year. Couple 2nds too. On the Hall of Fame highway.

Dick Allen, Tommy John up for HOF Consideration
These committee votes are kind of a joke. It’s more about who is on the committee than the players themselves. I wish there was a one time meeting of a blue ribbon panel to decide yes or no on everyone under consideration, and either you get in then, or you are forever not considered. Stop playing with old men’s emotions—and their families too. More than anything, the Hall should be about getting guys in their 40’s in so they can enjoy it with their families and come back to Cooperstown each year.

2024 playoffs...World Series: Dodgers/Yankees
The delay between tv and Gameday is almost a minute. Wtf.

2024 playoffs...World Series: Dodgers/Yankees
Cole is a stud if you allow him to be a stud. He was great.

Venable named new Sox Manager-per Merkin
Looked at his player page. His #1 similar player is Daryl Boston. Had to laugh. I like the hire, but what’s it really mean in the long run under a Reinsdorf ownership? Good luck, Will.

2024 playoffs...World Series: Dodgers/Yankees
It’s the little things in baseball. Some huge opportunities lost for the Dodgers. Not over, but the winner of this game is probably winning a championship.

RIP Fernando Valenzuela
RIP Fernando. He was a big deal in 1981 and had some other good years. Sad this is happening right before the Dodgers/Yankees Series.

2024 Playoffs - NLCS/ALCS
I remember him last year making two huge errors too late in the season. Maybe overall, he’s better than I know. But he’s had some huge gaffes in big situations.
