4/7 White Sox at Oakland game thread
It's a long flight home with a day game tomorrow. I have no problem with any lineup they put out there today. Pinch running and pinch hitting can still happen during the game.

2016 Opening Day Thread
QUOTE (SoCalSox @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 05:32 PM) Have wondered the same thing, myself. Seems like Avila is Sale's guy, at least from what I read but I think Navarro should be starting. Frankly, Hill pitching tonight makes me a bit nervous. Sox have never had much success vs this type of pitcher but hopefully with multiple new faces it won't be an issue. Total players still on the Sox from July, 2013-- 4 Sale, Quintana, Danks, Jones

2016 Opening Day Thread
QUOTE (GreenSox @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 04:00 PM) Unless gray is out for every game of the series how in the world is this a break? In fact this guarantees that we won't have a pitching edge in one of the games wheras we probably would have had the better starter in all four games otherwise. The season is longer than opening day It's always good to win the first one. If this helps the Sox win tonight, then it could relax them. You lose Sale vs Gray, the pressing could start right away.

QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 03:18 PM) Gonna be different this year. I can feel it. There are a bunch of new hitters this year too. Frazier and Abreu are going back-to-back. Good break for the Sox.

Opening Day 2016 thread
Yankees-Astros already PPD. Sox on Friday--high of 38. Skip it. Make it up on May 23. Give the players the day off, and go right to Sale vs Kluber on Saturday for the home opener.

QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 3, 2016 -> 04:02 PM) I hate 3-man booths. And ESPN baseball broadcasts. Agreed. I hope the Sox are in it in September, but it better not mean Hawk invites himself to the home booth.

2016 Predictions for my keepsake
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Apr 3, 2016 -> 10:31 AM) To be honest, I don't think the Dodgers look that good in my opinion. I pick Giants. I did pick the Giants to win the division. LA in the Play-In Game.

2016 Predictions for my keepsake
QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 12:22 PM) The AL is like guessing which teams will get lucky and avoid injuries. Parity is unreal this year. Playoff teams- Yankees, Tigers, Astros (Red Sox and Rangers play to get in) Nationals, Cubs, Giants (Diamondbacks and Mets play to get in) I'll change D-backs to Dodgers because of Pollock.
