The same people who are fretting about the clubhouse fracturing over Robin Ventura need to realize that in the baseball world, this is how you publicly show support for your teammates. Right, wrong, or indifferent, this is how baseball teams stay together. Guys who don't "stand up for their teammates" are the ones who cause fractures in the clubhouse. If people worry about the clubhouse, these actions should show that these guys are there for each other, and on solid ground.
Seems like Samardzija wants to stir up s*** on his own, not just stand up for his teammates.
Obviously a pitcher has to retaliate when it's really warranted, but that's not what's going on with Smarj. He's not as big of an idiot as Y Ventura, but he's not clean in this situation.
