Rodon isn't making the team, but it would be nice if he was there to go 2-4 innings every three to five days, and at the end of the year, he's pitched in 45-50 games with about 140 important innings. But that's not baseball right now, so it won't happen.

When it comes to the waivers thing, the Sox were in this position last year with Guerra. He was put on waivers after the Sox claimed him, and he ended up getting outrighted to Charlotte--and eventually came up. 40-man spots are generally pretty scarce around the league. Chances are Drabek stays with the Sox organization.

Unless there's an injury or the Sox record is so bad the first 50 games that a change has to happen, I don't want them to think about bringing Rodon up until at least June 1. It shouldn't be as simple as Rodon is better than Danks or Noesi right now. Give him 10 starts in Charlotte, and see where it stands then.

2 weeks from the home opener. Arizona is in a heat wave for the next week. But sunny. Charlotte next Friday-- 75, with possible showers Kansas City looks decent next weekend for workouts. Kansas City on 4/6-- 68, sunny; Wednesday and Thursday look warm too Chicago 4/10-- 48, sunny; the rest of that weekend looks a little warmer.
