  1. QUOTE (oldsox @ Jul 28, 2012 -> 10:08 AM) Astros might own him by then. If so, Brett Myers will be very expensive acquisition. It's highly unlikely Walker is in that trade. It's probably a thing where the Astros get a list of 3 pitchers, and they get to pick by a certain date.
  2. Leesman started tonight. Maybe they give him a start in Minnesota next Wednesday.
  3. Solid season for Keenyn Walker. Hope he finishes strong and maybe they'll send him to the AFL and AA next year.
  4. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 06:46 PM) If the DBacks are selling then why not give em a call about Ian Kennedy or Trevor Cahill? I want the Dbacks to lose a few games this weekend. Kennedy was my "under the radar" pick. Probably won't happen, but...
  5. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 06:42 PM) You can bet your asses that Texas will get either Shields or Johnson now. They won't stand pat. I bet the Sox get Dempster. I was thinking about that too. If the Dodgers don't get him, maybe Dempster will just want to get out of dodge, and Kenny can get him for a steal.

  7. QUOTE (Frank_Thomas35 @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 02:33 PM) KW isn't going to trade for a Blanton type. KW is going big or he's going home. He won't make a move just to supplant mediocre with mediocre. Humber is worse than mediocre. He really is. While I agree Kenny is going to aim high, he'll also get somebody to replace Humber if that's all he can get.
  8. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 02:24 PM) I don't think KW will blink so the Brewers have to drop their price. It is pretty entertaining to read all the speculation on here. Looking like a back end rotation starter at best. I'm good with a Blanton-type to take Humber's starts, and hope for Danks to come back for 7-8 starts. It may work out better than trading for Greinke, short term and long term.
  9. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 10:47 AM) Damn, just noticed the last 13 games of the season for the Tigers are against KC/Minnesota. Hope we have a decent lead when that point hits... Unless the Sox have a 4 game lead after facing the Tigers in the 4-game series, it's going to be tough. I just want the Sox to get to 90 wins and let the playoff picture fall where it will. If the Tigers get 91 wins, tip your cap for going 52-29 the second half.
  10. QUOTE (Maverick0984 @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 02:10 PM) Add it to the list of why their are idiots. It's like one of their texts.
  11. What if the Rangers get Lee, and the Angels get Shields? Maybe the Brewers come back to the Sox and take a little less just to move him. Ahhhh, we're getting Joe Blanton.
  12. Please win tonight, so I don't have to be mad about Humber getting shelled tomorrow night.
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 12:18 PM) And Beck could move quickly... Remember when everyone thought Kyle Bellamy would race through the organization?
  14. Greinke scheduled to pitch in 48 hours. Many think he'll be traded by then. I hope he is, so Kenny can either get his man or have another 48 hours to do something else.
  15. Heidenreich had a nice debut for his new team. 8 inn, 5 hits, 1 run, 1 bb, 7 k
  16. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 03:42 PM) Tom ‏@Haudricourt Four teams that have shown most interest in #Brewers Zack Greinke: Rangers, Angels, Braves, White Sox. I'd handicap them in that order. Welcome to the White Sox, Joe Blanton!
  17. I'm ready for Tuesday, 3pm, to be here.
  18. Brewers DFA George Kottaras. Upgrade from Flowers?
  19. De Aza got called up a year ago. Since: 149 Games .293/.362/.438/.800 595 PA 532 AB 93 runs 156 hits 31 doubles 8 triples 10 homers 60 rbis 29-42 SB 51 bb 112 k Well done.
  20. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 10:35 AM) I agree 100% 99% Colombians are from Colombia.
  21. If they trade for Greinke, Floyd will be involved. That scenario Ken Rosenthal came up with where Floyd goes to Toronto for prospects, that would be flipped to Milwaukee makes some sense. Then maybe the Toronto prospects plus a Mitchell or Thompson, and Simon Castro or another minor league arm or arms. I don't think they're going to touch the offense they have now. I also don't think Quintana is in danger of being traded.
