Gaston could be OK as long as we bring back a very talented team. From my expierience watching way to many blue jay games when he was manager he is decent but not great and he seemed more prone to bad judgement when he had to make more decisions in the years when the talent level wasn't there. I know that probably could be said about most managers and maybe I am judging him to quickly but all I have to go on is what I remember seeing of him with the jays. Now having said all that and seeing the other candidates that have been mentiond so far, if prior experience is what the sox want he may be the best candidate.

I don't care if the cubs beat the braves as long as they get their asses handed to them in the NLCS.

I just hope the winner of this series goes to th WS. no braves and no cubs will make me happy.

The problems with this team ran a whole lot deeper then JM. I'm glad a change is being made but other changes still need to be made. Don't expect JM"s firing to be a miracle cure all for this teams problems.

Because I live in Canada and the jays are the only baseball that ever gets talked about up here(thank God for the internet and pirated sattalite). I would say it would be similar to always hearing about the cubs in chicago. As a matter of fact TSN our national sports network up here has a special playing this week to relive the glory of the jays two World Series victories. It was a decade ago they suck now but no one want to get over it. Anyway I'll stop rambling now.

The blue jays, braves and cubs are 1 2 3 on my hate list. the braves are just edging out the cubs so I am stuck rooting for them. Bigger upsets have happened right?
