Haha, Flames. I would be pissed if State ever wanted to change the Spartan name, because it is to barbaric. I am sorry, but the Indians should be proud. If this is the case, I want the San Diego Padres, New Orleans Saints, Hofstra Flying Dutchmen, San Francisco 49ers, Minnesota Vikings, and many other teams to change their names (I really don't but these arguments just annoy the hell out of me).

Ventura would be great to mentor Crede. He could also play some 1B. I say forget Vina. Give Willie the fulltime shot. If he faulters, go out and get somebody. I do not see Vina as the answer (unless he is cheap), and I would just rather see us not get tied down to him for a few years. It will be our luck we will get him for a few year contract, and then we will be trying to offload him next offseason. Unless the White Sox front office thinks Vina is the answer, which I am willing to bet they don't, I would let Willie get some expierence. I would love to go and get Philips from the Tribe. Anyone think he would have any shot at being available. I think he could be our 2B of the future if we got him.

I will never be satisfied. Seriously though, it is more the casual fans we need. If we could get fans who don't really care about baseball, yet go to the games to have a good time, I am all for it. I think it would help the team, I hope they make the Cell awesome and gorgeous, and attract people who are looking for a good time. I think we need to get a marquee player who has a ton of interest in him. The Cubs have Sosa. Kid K, and Prior who are either beloved or becoming beloved (as in the case of Prior). We just don't have any players who warrent that type of attention. Frank used to, but not anymore.

Yeah it is, we are bloated with contracts which are unmovable, and we have guys who are due for big pay raises. I find it riduclous that JR won't spend money on this team. I was reading yesterday that several teams were going to try to cut payroll back to around $80-$90 million. It blew me away that a Chicago team has a payroll of $50-$60 million.

Naw, we'd save a million, but be on the line for his $5 million next season. If I could get the Mets to give us cash and a prospect in this deal, I would do it. I am not so down on Cedeno as everyone else is, he isn't that bad. I wonder how he would do if you put him in a different situation. If we had traded Redman after last season from the Tigers, you guys would have gone nuts. Now look at him on the Marlins. It is a change of scenery and moving into a better situation. Granted, the money is a huge difference, but maybe we could even get him to rework his deal, giving him an extension. Who knows?

That would be awesome to get him. I just don't see the Angels doing this deal, unless they got him signed to an extension. The deal would clearly be about money aswell. The poor state of baseball economics.

Oh yeah, complete game after complete gamel; including a ten inning shut out. The one thing Loz has working for him is that he kept his team in the playoff race for so long, that could sway some votes. I see Halladay winning the Cy Young Award though.
