A-Rams ROY case better without Quentin
QUOTE (Felix @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 03:07 PM) If Morneau wins the MVP, I promise to kill something. He didn't deserve it in 2006, and he doesn't deserve it this year. Other than him, I couldn't care less who wins it. Q deserves it, but this injury probably killed his chances (even though we wouldn't even be in this race without him). Oh, and while Alexei has been great this year, he's the third best offensive option for Rookie of the Year. Both Longoria and Denard Span have been better. As much I personally dont want Morneau to win the MVP, I have a hard time saying he doesnt deserve it this year, especially with TCQ missing Sept. He leads the AL in RBI on a team with a weaker lineup, that nobody expected to be in the playoff hunt into the final week of the season. I know the starting pitching has carried them, but his bat in the cleanup spot has definitely helped a lot too.

2009 schedule announced for White Sox
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 12:52 PM) Whose bright idea was it to have one of the Cubs series in the middle of the week? Yeah, really...i dont remember it ever being during the week before...the saturday afternoon games of both series each year are always so much fun to go to...

9/16: White Sox vs Yankees, 6:05PM
Horacio Ramirez is 1-2 (.500 AVG, 1.000 OPS) lifetime against Petitte...since he is worthless out of the bullpen, maybe we let him get an at-bat or two and help him contribute to the team for once!

Twins Watch Thread 2008
QUOTE (BlackBetsy @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 11:42 AM) 1st and 2nd nobody out for the Twins in the bottom of the 2nd. The Sox would DP / weak fly ball their way out of the inning... The Twins will probably put 4 up and put the game away. Suprise! twins only get one, and gomez helps kill the rally by getting picked off first with one out....2-1 twins after 2

Broadway starting sunday...
QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 07:43 PM) Tribune is saying 4-man rotation after Sunday. That means the matchups in Minnesota: Vazquez-Baker Buehrle-Perkins Floyd-Blackburn That would be great, no liriano or slowey...we would actually have a chance to win the series!

QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 01:59 PM) i can see the tigers making a serious bid over the yankees to get CC Its gonna be very intersting to see where he goes, for all the talk about him wanting to play in Cali and in the NL...its hard to say no when teams are throwing huge amounts of money to you..

QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 01:43 PM) I hate to sound negative, because I like to be positive, but I hold little hope against Halladay with the way he's pitching lately. I think there's a chance we can win, but if there's one game we'd lose out of the series (could be more), it'd be tomorrow's. I agree, thats why todays double header is so big, cause the odds are stacked against us tomorrow
