  1. Good work, I agree with most of the rankings, but two of the players i thought deserved higher grades. Toby Hall should get an A, i mean what else can you ask for from a backup catcher who played 20 games, other than a BA over .300 and alright defense... I'm extremely disappointed in Swisher's season, but I think its partly due to getting put into uncomfortable sports like the leadoff spot and CF, I think now that he has been put back into an RBI spot and at 1B, he has been hitting more like we expected. He should get a C just for doing what he could from the position he was put in.
  2. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 30, 2008 -> 09:18 AM) Wonder what that's really about...? One of his roosters got depressed and lonely without him there and refuses to fight again until Aramis comes back and sees him...
  3. LETS SWEEP THESE SCRUBS BACK TO THE NORTH SIDE!!!
  4. Is there anything John McDonough can't do???
  5. QUOTE (letsgoarow @ Jun 28, 2008 -> 08:58 AM) yeah the winner from yesterday gets it... Oops, my bad...somebody should probably just delete this guy then so its not bad luck...
  6. Heading to the game today and figured its a good time to start my first game thread. Shut 'em down Javy!!!
  7. There ya go Jose! Way to strike that bastard out!
  8. Even without all the homers, CQ has been playing some solid all around baseball the last month.
  9. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jun 27, 2008 -> 03:11 PM) This new 3D gameday is cool. You can see when Count drops down his arm angle. What site is that at? mlb.com?

  11. Dear Ozzie Guillen, If Aramis Ramirez comes up to bat against Contreras with runners on in a big situation, please, please, please, please don't let Jose pitch to him. Walk him or bring in a reliever. The numbers dont lie. He will crush anything Jose throws at him. Thanks, LittleHurt05
  12. I know the ESPN draft coverage starts at 6, but anybody know what team the Bulls will actually be on the clock? Will the picks start right at 6, or a little later like 6:30 or so??
  13. By the way, anyone know what their rotation is looking like for the series against us? If they just went in order it would be Dempster Saturday, but I thought I read that they wanna keep him on four days rest, so he would go friday. Who else would pitch? Gallaghar Saturday & marshall sunday?
  14. how bout the '05 padres...they have never been able to score the last few years...

  16. http://www.northtonorth.com "Hello everyone, I am now done at the Score. I met with management this past Friday and since I wouldn't accept the deal they offered; they told me I wasn't allowed to be on the air anymore. I didn't get a chance to say goodbye so here goes... I wanted to say my 16 1/2 years with the Score were awesome. When I was on the air, it was unreal. To be able to entertain, have fun, and sometimes get serious... well you never knew what would happen on a daily basis. I want to thank all the listeners and callers who not only laughed at me but with me. I heard from a lot of you over the years, and good or bad, I always welcomed your comments. To do radio in my hometown at such a great station was an honor. To all the people I used to work with and I work with now, I say thank you. To the advertisers on my show and on the station who were always with me thank you for being there. Without you, there is no station. The sales staff at the Score was always second to none; we made some bucks together. Thanks to you guys too. You'll be hearing from us real soon. Keep your eyes and ears open and stay tuned. On behalf of Be-Be, Lucky, myself, and everyone associated with us, thank you once again. Mike North"
  17. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Jun 24, 2008 -> 02:47 AM) Four teams have made the playoffs after being outscored in the regular season, and one won the world series. Who were they? i know the 07 d'backs were outscored and I think the 87 twins were the world series winner...
  18. QUOTE (kane0730 @ Jun 24, 2008 -> 09:49 AM) Dodger stadium plays big, especially at night. We are going to need to score some runs without, gulp...HR's. The thought of us trying to do that kinda scares me! Hope Mark can shut 'em down so we dont have to score too many...
  19. QUOTE (SuperSteve @ Jun 23, 2008 -> 10:41 PM) Many of you need to losen up. I was at the game Sunday in a rooftop and I had a great time. We had a good mix of Cubs and Sox fans and I was wearing my Quentin jersey and Sox hat and didn't get anything but fun ribbing from other drunks (which I returned right back). You better believe I was more concerned about my next beer than the game with the way the Sox were playing. We all know many very knowledgable Cubs fans and many ignorant Sox fans, just take some less time being envious and enjoy yourself. Agree 100%. This weekend there will be Cubs fans complaining that they got cussed at and beer spilled on them, and then there will be other Cubs fans talking about what a good time the Cell was and what good baseball fans the Sox have. Every fan base in every sport has their good fans and their bad fans. I've definitely seen my share of each at both parks.
  20. QUOTE (lord chas @ Jun 21, 2008 -> 09:23 PM) I was sitting in the left field bleachers and security was constantly telling sox and cub fans to sit down. I found this very odd as it is a sporting event and you should be allowed to support your team. I have been to a ton of other parks and have never heard of this before. Did anyone else have security hassle them this weekend? I was in the bleachers at Wrigley 2 years ago when they played the Tigers (it was the one time I actually cheered for the Cubs and Detroit smoked them), and I noticed the same thing. Anytime you even tried to stand up for anything, even an exciting play, there would be a security guard immediately telling you to sit down. I have never seen that anywhere else and didn't make any sense to me...
  21. wow, what a horrible weekend of baseball...that division lead keeps looking smaller and smaller...
  22. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jun 22, 2008 -> 10:03 PM) hit your 4th homer in a row at Wrigley D-Wise. suprisingly he has played better then almost everyone else the last two games, minus that last K
  23. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jun 22, 2008 -> 09:51 PM) I'm still pissed at the Pirates for trading Ramirez to the Cubs for nothing. What do you mean nothing? The Pirates got Bobby Hill, #1 2b prospect off all time!
