Papa Johns had to be surprised how rarely the 5 run coupon was used this year.

Baylor - Texas Tech over under is 89. I wouldn't dare bet on the under either. The Big 12 is craziness -
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 30, 2015 -> 07:44 PM) Pirates just have to win 2 of 3 this weekend at worst to clinch hosting the WC game. The Reds have lost 11 in a row now. The Reds have had a rookie starting pitcher in 59 consecutive games and 105 overall this season. http://grantland.com/the-triangle/mlb-cinc...-walt-jocketty/

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 29, 2015 -> 09:17 PM) Kershaw vs Bumgarner tonight with the division still technically up for grabs. Over under at 5.5, which is rare as can be. 1 hit, 13 K complete game shutout by Kershaw to win the NL West. Best in the business. https://vine.co/v/eQOOBZW0uHI

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 29, 2015 -> 06:06 PM) I will throw up if they use a top 3 pick on a QB that is not worth a top 3 pick. If Goff/Kessler//Cook don't project to be top Qbs in the NFL I will be really pissed if the Bears don't take BPA(unless they can trade down, which isn't really guaranteed anymore after the RG3 fleecing) I think you have to take a QB with the top pick. That's the only position that matters. Take a top guy, give him 2-3 years, if he doesn't pan out, on to the next one. JJ Watt, Julio Jones, Joe Thomas, all those elite top players at other positions can barely sniff team success. Top QBs get you in the playoffs year in and year out. That being said, I'd take a chance on Kessler.

The only people that really get hurt by the postseason ban are the players that did nothing wrong. -
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 29, 2015 -> 08:19 AM) Pro Football Focus gave Aaron Rodgers a grade of -0.8 for his play last night. I like PFF, but I don't know how you come up with that. His run blocking was non-existent, he immediately gave up after handing the ball off. What a lazy bum.

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Sep 28, 2015 -> 07:14 PM) RT @AdamSchefter: More trades from Chicago: Bears have traded LB Jon Bostic to the Patriots, per @fieldyates. He's totally gonna be a good player for Belichick

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Sep 28, 2015 -> 06:36 PM) Dianna Marie Russini @diannaESPN 15m15 minutes ago I'm told Jared Allen is 1st of a few trades Bears will make, they're looking to unload players that don't fit their scheme from prior regime More trades to come? Please. Get as many draft picks no matter what round as you can. Why weren't these trades just made in the offseason?

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 28, 2015 -> 11:28 AM) After the Bears and Sox seasons, I'm so excited to cheer for a team that has a shot!!! Plus a like a lot of the guys on the roster. Wrong thread, here is the right one: http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...&start=1600

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 28, 2015 -> 08:23 AM) Bears actually had a good game plan in the first half. Kept the game close and didn't turn the ball over. They were only down 6-0. I just didn't get some of the punting in the second half. When they were down 20-0 and it was like 4th and 2. Just go for it. Punting does nothing. It was like the good and bad of John Fox yesterday. Team played well in a tough situation, but when it came time to go for it on 4th down or run a trick play, he just punted. Played it safe. On that 4th and 2, it's like he just didn't care anymore. Even if we score here, we have no chance to win the game anyway, so f*** it, punt the ball.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 27, 2015 -> 09:55 PM) Ha. I guess Rizzo was luck, too? Getting Russell+ for a .500 pitcher was luck, too? Fowler/Montero/Coghlan? More luck, I guess. Rizzo was just trading with an old business partner, there was plenty of "luck" involved with that. But they deserve full credit for the rest of their moves.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 27, 2015 -> 09:39 PM) Yet the Cubs got him for Scott Feldman and some bum I can't even remember. Not buying it. The White Sox are geniuses for acquiring Quintana but the Cubs are lucky they got Arrieta.
-
QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Sep 27, 2015 -> 08:52 PM) Aside from P, K, C, G and WR, is there any position the Bears could use their 1st round pick on that you'd say you'd be upset? Running back. Hard to justify the first overall pick on a RB.

I would love to see McDonough try to perform his "magic" with this fanbase and this ownership. He wouldn't last two years.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Sep 27, 2015 -> 12:40 PM) Names officially on the cup. Notable omissions: Antii Raanta and Clint Reif. Just awful they didn't include Reif. I believe Raanta was dressed for the required 41 games, surprised he wasn't on there. Reif made the Cup the first two times, so I don't see that as a big deal.

QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 27, 2015 -> 04:20 PM) Cardinals give up a 7-spot in the 9th. Pirates can get to 2 GB tonight with a 3 game series starting tomorrow. The Cubs should be rooting for the Cardinals to win the division. They seem way more likely to win a 5 game series vs. STL than PIT, so might as well take your chances in a one game playoff against PIT with Arrieta.

Awesome plays by Alan Ball there to save 4 points

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 27, 2015 -> 04:33 PM) Defense is playing very well today For sure. Or this Seattle O Line is garbage. If Cutler was playing the Bears could be winning. (Or he would have thrown two pick sixes already )

QUOTE (hi8is @ Sep 27, 2015 -> 12:00 AM) Did I just see the best catch in the history of this sport to date? Seriously. Someone please tell me of a better catch. You did, that was like 4 to 5 feet above the wall

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 26, 2015 -> 11:13 PM) I like the Seabrook deal. For those complaining about its length- you know Hossa is signed through 2021, right? How does Hossa's s***ty long term contract justify signing Seabrook to one too? Also, keep in mind, that when Hossa signed it, he was gonna retire in 2018 or 2019 with little penalty, but the new CBA screwed that up. And I do like the first four years of the Seabrook deal, it's the second four I'm not a fan of.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 26, 2015 -> 10:46 PM) Indeed. I don't care what anyone says. Late 90's/early 2000's baseball was fantastic. The entire country dropped what they were doing when Barry Bonds stepped to the plate, now they want to pretend like he didn't exist. C'Mon man. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 26, 2015 -> 06:11 PM) Middle Tennessee? To be fair, Illinois was only a 3.5 point favorite. Now that Beckman is gone, I have actually been watching the games again. A win is a win.
