  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 17, 2013 -> 11:13 AM) I dont know, I see it just like Dallas. High scoring offense, not so good of a defense. The eagles just gave up 48 to the Vikings, WITHOUT AP. Thats pretty nuts The Eagles actually give up more passing yards per game than the Cowboys do.
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 17, 2013 -> 09:25 AM) No, Bears still have to win the game. No they dont. If they beat Green Bay the following week, Bears would be 9-7, Packers 8-7-1, & Detroit 8-8. Division won.
  3. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 17, 2013 -> 08:44 AM) Romo can score like crazy and sometimes move the ball at will, but I would really like to see the 4th quarter comeback stat conversed with how many times he has thrown a late pick or lost a fumble that basically ended the game. Because that is exactly why this "media narrative" started Part of the "media narrative" is because they treat the Cowboys like the Yankees and expect them to win it all every year. When it doesn't happen, they look for someone to blame and the QB is #1, never mind a defense that gives up 34 points in a half to Matt Flynn or couldn't stop Josh McCown once. Romo has some flaws, but I think he gets more blame than he should. It's just not an overall well run organization.
  4. So it keeps getting better. Blue Cross first told me that my current plan was ending and I needed to sign up for a new plan, which would be about a 15% increase. Then they say I can keep my current plan for another year. Great. Just got a rate increase on my current plan if I keep it. Basically my 2-month premium becomes my monthly premium, the rate is more than doubled.
  5. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Dec 17, 2013 -> 07:11 AM) I'd rather the Bears trade for him than the Sox. And for once the Bears actually have receivers better than Samardzija
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 17, 2013 -> 07:48 AM) I linked to that last week you f***. Well my link got 3 replies and yours got zero, so
  7. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Dec 17, 2013 -> 03:08 AM) Lol, no. Tony Romo is somehow consider a scum of the Earth quarterback who sucks, especially at the end of games, despite owning the best 4th Quarter QBR of any QB in NFL History, and being one of the best QBs statistically in close games of 7 pts or less. But hey, everyone keeps pushing an inaccurate narrative because it's more important to hate the Cowboys and whomever their QB is than actually be right about anything. I think he has like 19 or 20 career 4th quarter comebacks. The problem is that the media treats the Cowboys like they are still some powerhouse franchise, when they are mediocre as they come. In the last 17 seasons, they are 135-135 in the regular season with one playoff win.
  8. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 16, 2013 -> 10:37 PM) Lions gonna Lions LOL. They couldn't ask for more luck injury-wise and still fall flat on their face. Back in control Bears, don't f*** it up now!
  9. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Dec 16, 2013 -> 10:10 PM) I think Howell just signed with the Dodgers. Yup. 2 years, $11.5 million
  10. Justin Tucker!!!! Some questionable decisions by both coaches right there.
  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 16, 2013 -> 02:28 PM) Why? You throw a pick it's as good as a punt. Not to mention, look who he is throwing the ball to. You have a guy like Jeffrey(ies) out there, it's worth the risk of a pick anyway, chances are good he brings it down.
  12. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 16, 2013 -> 02:31 PM) He could be very wrong, but the risk is worth it. Four new starting, young players in 2014, and the pitching for the most part remains in-tact. Rick Hahn has my approval. Agreed. I love this rebuilding on the fly he is going with. Finding young talent, but major league ready, not just players in A or AA. Get a little lucky, you might be competing much sooner rather than later.
  13. Wheelin and dealin! Love the move, closers come a dime a dozen, so getting some young offensive talent for Reed is great, hope Davidson pans out. Wonder what happens with the Gillespinger platoon now? Trades or sent to AAA?
  14. QUOTE (flavum @ Dec 16, 2013 -> 10:33 AM) 1 yr/ 4 mil Can earn 4.5 mil more from incentives. Coming off of Tommy John? Good work if you can get it.
  15. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 16, 2013 -> 10:29 AM) Yup, good call. And honestly, I'd rather see the Saints than Panthers in the playoffs if I were a Bears fan. At Soldier Field, I agree. I'd much rather play at Carolina than in the Superdome though. (Not that we need to look that far ahead)
  16. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 16, 2013 -> 10:12 AM) I love the Niners and Panthers but it'd be interesting to see how they perform in Chicago on that thing the Bears call a football field. If Carolina takes care of business at home, it would be the Saints as the wild card.
  17. Hell yeah, curling is the 2nd best sport to watch in the Winter Olympics. (behind hockey of couse) I missed plenty of college classes in '02 because I was too into the curling matches to get up and leave.
  18. QUOTE (daa84 @ Dec 15, 2013 -> 06:51 PM) Absolutely. Bears will likely have to face Rodgers in final game. Stupid f***ing dolt Jason Garett I can't find the exact breakdown right now but in like 29 second half plays, they had 7 runs and 22 passes. Are you kidding me? Garrett should face the most blame.
  19. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Dec 15, 2013 -> 06:14 PM) Notre Dame won the men's college soccer championship with a 2-1 win over 3-time champ Maryland. Good win for the Big East over the ACC. Wait, what?
  20. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 14, 2013 -> 09:41 AM) I know W-L isn't a good way to judge pitchers, but Floyd seems to buck the trend. In games when he gets the win his career ERA is 1.97. In games when he gets no decision, it's 4.85. In games when he gets the loss it's 7.32. Naturally they should break down this way in general, but to this extreme? Maybe it just shows when he is good, he is really good, and when he is not he is really bad. Just randomly chose Buehrle to compare. Wins: 1.89 No decisions : 4.10 Losses :6.67
  21. 1. Winston 2. Mason 3. Williams 4. Lynch 5. Manziel 6. McCarron
  22. What a scoop Eduardo. That's why the Sun pays you the big bucks.
  23. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 03:09 PM) The problem with this is that it's so UNLIKE Jameis Winston. Now, obviously, we don't know the guy personally, but from all accounts (recruiting stories, HS and FSU coaches, teammates, media members) pretty much anyone who has ever come in contact with JW lauds how mature he is, how he's a great guy, a great leader, always laughing and joking, and has great character. That doesn't mean he can't make a stupid mistake, but I have a hard time believing it. Plus, the timing of when this went public is ridiculously suspect, and the attorney of the accuser today just threw out accusation after accusation about things being tampered with, deleted, who was or was not there, etc. LOL. Do you work for the FSU media department? It sure sounds like it. I didn't realize laughter and jokes were the key to determining who is capable of sexual assault.
