  1. 2005 & 2006 rotations had fewest starts last 4 innings or less since 1919
  2. Summer Shandy is back on the shelves. Winning.
  3. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Apr 15, 2011 -> 10:45 AM) I think we finally hit Weaver. Maybe. Last year vs. the Sox he was 0-2 w/ 4.85 ERA, Sox hit .294 against him. Over his career his ERA is 1.70 against us, so that tells you how dominant he was before 2010.
  4. Sounds like Kopecky got hurt and is out for game 2. I assume Pisani will take his place, although the old-time hockey fans will all be clamoring for John Scott cause the team needs to get tougher.
  5. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 14, 2011 -> 08:42 PM) Haha, Twins got 1 in the top of the 10th and Damon just walked it off with a 2-run blast in the bottom Awesome Pavano had a shutout and only 104 pitches, but Gardenhire took him out to trust his bullpen? And the bullpen blew it twice? But I thought only Ozzie was dumb enough to lose games like that.
  6. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 14, 2011 -> 05:26 PM) Troy Tulowitzki is a good major league SS. 22 homers in his last 40 games? I'd have to agree with you.
  7. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 14, 2011 -> 05:07 PM) Final Season of FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS debuts tomorrow in NBC. Its a great final season, so even if you jibronies have never seen the show, watch it. Not too many series' like this come around often. Let's hush on the spoilers all you Direct TV people!
  8. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Apr 14, 2011 -> 10:18 AM) Keith looked terrible as well... Kind of the status quo for much of the season. I don't know if he got worn out last season or what, but he's definitely looked nothing like a Norris Trophy winner.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 14, 2011 -> 08:06 AM) The real schedule It's funny how two sports with the exact same 1st round seeding setup can have such different odds of each team winning. The Blackhawks are underdogs but have a fighters chance to knock off the #1 team. It can basically be said that the Pacers have ZERO chance to knock off the Bulls, and that's how it usually is in the NBA with the 1 vs. 8 matchup.
  10. QUOTE (since56 @ Apr 14, 2011 -> 07:48 AM) I wonder what Bobby Jenks is thinking? Is my team even gonna make the playoffs?
  11. In case you haven't been watching. the Sox bullpen has now blown 6 saves in 12 games. Only the 2005 Rockies have blown as many saves thru 12 games since 1990. (they started out 2-10 on their way to a 67-95 season)
  12. QUOTE (hammerhead johnson @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 10:31 PM) God damn it, we're supposed to be 11-1. 10-2. You can't say we should have won all the bullpen meltdowns, then not give back the Soria comeback.
  13. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Apr 10, 2011 -> 10:04 PM) The Chicago Blackhawks. Just don't give a s*** about them and the fans remind me of cubs fans. Was hoping Dallas would win tonight so the bandwagon fans would crawl back in there hole. Just wait until all of the bandwagon Bulls fans come out of the woodwork during their playoff run. In fact, I bet it's a lot of the same fans.
  14. Canucks definitely looking like the better & more agressive team. Whatever happens, let's not forget that in 2010 the Canucks won game 1 at the UC 5-1 and in 2009 won the opener 5-3 up in Vancouver.
  15. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 07:34 PM) The Astros shoud be contracted. As a former Astros fan (easily my second favorite team from '97 through '05), it's sad to see what's happened to them. It's basically Hunter Pence, Wandy Rodriguez, maybe Brett Myers and AAA garbage. Don't forget about Michael Bourn a.k.a. Juan Pierre Jr.
  16. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 03:54 PM) Relax people, Thornton actually looked good, despite the outcome. And no, it wasn't bad managing. It almost worked, and if it had, you'd all be praising how awesome the managing was. Stuff it. I'd still question putting Sale in there after pitching two innings last night, instead of Crain or Thornton.
  17. lol, of course. Get DeJesus out and let's walk off in the 9th again
  18. thanks for swinging at Ball 4, 5, & 6 Suzuki! one down!
  19. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 03:37 PM) count me out QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 03:37 PM) I dont agree. Well 95% of us then, lol. With Sale/Santos having pitched two, I don't see why you don't throw Crain or Thornton, IMO.
  20. At least we can all agree, this time it's 100% on Ozzie, since Sale pitched two last night
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 03:34 PM) Is anyone warming behind Sale? Gonzalez said Thornton is
