  1. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 07:21 PM) Where did Carlos get hit? Tricep area again? Did he or Ozzie look pissed? Yeah, tricep. They didn't show Ozzie, Quentin just did the usual and went to first.
  2. Sox 68-52 Texas 61-60 The Sox are 15 games above .500 better then the Rangers. They are also 7.5 games up on them. I think it's safe to say I'll be getting that Ramirez authentic jersey and another one of my choice.
  3. With Hawk around and DJ doing his HR call, it makes me wonder if they're breaking in DJ for the future? PK JT
  4. I always liked Garland. His "CC attitude" was sometimes ripped apart by the media because of where he was playing, in the hard nosed city of Chicago, but what he did for us in 2005 was something else. Very nice guy, as well.
  5. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 01:33 PM) Very good news. With him and Beckham in, we're looking better. Just wait until we get 6 or however many top 35 picks next year...
  6. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 02:07 PM) Anderson should be our starting CF'er. Fixed.
  7. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 02:05 PM) Remove Griffey after this at bat. That'll be the day. Bust it open here, MVQ!
  8. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 02:30 PM) I've probably heard of it, but off the top of my head I'm not sure as to what it is. I believe there's a restaurant in Grand Forks that has Roger Maris' name in the name and there are quite a few sports memorabilia items in there, and there's a Roger Maris museum in Fargo, but the Dakotas are a bit bigger than the general preconceived notion so it's not something that comes up in idle conversation often. Ah ok, thanks anyways. Just thought I'd ask because I'm a heavy autograph collector which includes plenty of stuff from the 2005 team. BTW- are you from Chicago or what?
  9. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 03:00 PM) So Zumaya went back on the DL? Yeah. Ryan Sweeney went to the DL, too.
  10. Despite the hit to Gload, I feel twice as confident with Ram in there rather then Thor.
  11. Was there any confirmation they really did bring up Richard? They just showed Wise, Getz, and Broadway, and many thought they might have sent Wise down.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 02:36 PM) Turn it over to Carrasco, Thornton, Dotel, and Jenks Not with the way he's been walking guys lately. BTW- want a prime example of a guy who plays baseball for the money? Jose Guillen.
  13. So many pitches MVQ has fouled off that he normally murders into gaps or into peoples' arms. Perhaps the 2 day rest created a bit of rust? Hope not. Or not.
  14. QUOTE (hawksox13 @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 02:22 PM) Hey guys, for us who are stuck tracking the game on just our computers, can you fill us in on what exactly Broadway is featuring. What's the speed on his fastball, how are his secondary pitches, .......Any extra information would be nice! Fastball has topped out at 91 I believe. Nice whatever-seamer that starts out inside to lefties and comes back to catch the inside corner is nasty. His change-up is average, and his breaking ball is a bit above average.
  15. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 02:13 PM) I know the Aflac Trivia Question- Bart Johnson. I believe he was something like 12-11 with 15 saves. I win.
