  1. Well, Kazmir is a 5.2 ERA pitcher during the day...
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 22, 2008 -> 08:37 PM) Who says that about him? His ERA since the ASB is around 6, and he's allowed 6 homers in 13 innings. Not sure who it is, but they always say "the hate thrown Dotel's way on this board is ridiculous".
  3. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Aug 22, 2008 -> 08:35 PM) Yep. It's been tough for a lot of people. That's why they are the best team in the AL No s***. Many on here thought today's game would be our best chance, and we blew it.
  4. Going to be tough against Kazmir and Sonnanstine.
  5. QUOTE (G&T @ Aug 22, 2008 -> 08:28 PM) Looks like the 2000 White Sox. Yeah they can hit homers, until they face pitchers that don't suck. Then they can't score runs. Edwin Jackson throws 93-97 all day with occasional curveballs mixed in, and they're rarely ever strikes. He isn't good or anything, he's solid. In a couple years, yeah maybe. Now? No.
  6. Anyway we can trade for Ronnie Belliard at 2B next year? Last 2 years combined he's a .280 hitter with a .345 OBP (about). Not sure on his D as I'd rather not watch Nationals baseball.
  7. Thanks for everything Willie! Nice guy, as well.
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 21, 2008 -> 11:33 PM) Does Scioscia pitch to Mauer or Morneau with a runner at 2nd and 2 outs? I wouldn't. He might.
  9. Can somebody post the August wallpaper or just the link to the thread please?
  10. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Aug 21, 2008 -> 09:43 PM) Can't believe in less than 2 years, the Rangers gave up Volquez, Danks, and Armando Gallaraga. A few years before that they gave up Chris Young. They didn't necessarily give up on Volquez- they just had much more faith in Hamilton.
  11. 1st and 2nd with 2 outs for the Twins. The score is 1-1.
  12. And don't give me a start answer like "Sox stuff". Well, I hope you do. Just be specific- if you wear a jersey, what player? Authentic or replica? Me- AJ road replica and my Sox batting practice hat.
  13. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Aug 20, 2008 -> 07:48 AM) Missing Sherrill for that whole series is huge. They will miss Percival as well. And then obviously Crawford and Longoria. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 17, 2008 -> 01:32 AM) If you were told flat out the Sox cannot make the WS what teams would you prefer getting in the WS? I'd pick the Dodgers in the NL (for Torre getting even with Yankees) and Rays in AL. I might take the Twins except for the dome. I hate that f***ing dome. Angels vs Dodgers Rays vs Dodgers Angels vs Brewers Rays vs Brewers
  14. BTW- it's going to be tough getting posts in since my computer crashed.
  15. Feels good to sweep. Nice game today all around except Quentin. What a bum he is. Hopefully the Thome injury isn't serious at all. Now let's win 2/3 or 3/3 from the 30-31 road Rays.
  16. Computer crashed the other night so I'm using a friend's. Just got home from the game, it was awesome. Loved the MVP chants for Q...Swisher was great and so was Alexei. Going to be tough with Hernandez going for them tomorrow, but let's go out there, pull out another W, and hopefully Oakland helps us just 1 more time. Q 4 MVP LEXEI 4 ROY
  17. Our OL is awful. Not even considering Faneca really hurts now. Grossman is a bad football player. His throws were behind guys, in front of guys, and over-thrown.
  18. Christ, he is something else. When they won, I teared up a bit. :usa
  19. I'll be going to Cincinnati for all 3 and Milwaukee for 1 or 2. Thanks, WSF1986! QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 08:13 PM) I think they played them at the Cell in 2002, but I don't remember us ever going to Shea. We have- I went that year and Piazza signed a baseball for me. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 08:09 PM) All I can say is, what the f***? The Pirates for the fourth straight year! The Doders for the second year in a row, and the reds for the second time since 2006? I wouldn't hate interleague as much if the same teams didn't play each other every year. At least we get the Brewers. I'm guessing it was a 2 and 2 year deal we signed with Pittsburgh- we played them in 2006 and 2007 at home, and will be playing them next year and we already played them this year. We also played the Dodgers in 2005- AJ hit that walkoff HR to left-center on 1959 night. We played in Cincinnati in 2006, too- we swept. Remember Garland hit the HR in the 3rd game?? We played in Milwaukee in 2001 or 2002, too.
  20. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 05:58 PM) And it will probably be blacked out for me. I still haven't gotten to see Griffey play for the White Sox. Lucky you.
