I was just telling my Astros fan friends how awesome it was to see the Royals lose...then they pull this s***.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Oct 12, 2015 -> 03:58 PM) Can't believe Houston blew this. I don't think they will win game 5 at all. Royals have all the momentum now.

There's your ball game. Way to wake up the Royals Astros bullpen.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Oct 12, 2015 -> 03:45 PM) Has he never let up a run before? He pretty much didn't in the regular season. He's given up 17 runs in his last 130 innings.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Oct 12, 2015 -> 03:40 PM) Astros can easily score a couple runs but they have really overused their 3 main guys in the bullpen. Wade Davis though.

You'd think Hinch would have brought in someone who had better stuff than Gregerson. He has no issues getting ahead, but he just can't put these guys away.

Well looks like that's game. What a choke job by the Stros.

Why is Gregorson still out of the windup? If Hosmer wasn't running at third, they would have tried to squeeze twice already.

ALDS: Astros vs. Royals Thread
I thought the Astros needed at least one of those runs they stranded in the bottom of the 7th. Looks like they really do now.

Cubs-Cards NLDS
Not even going to bother watching, the Cubs' chances of winning this game is probably 95%. Wacha would have to pitch a gem for the Cards to have a shot. I don't see it happening.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 12, 2015 -> 02:59 PM) Just goes to show how much losing one cog in their bullpen machine impacted the Royals. This is the year for teams arriving "ahead of schedule." So that means the Astros, Cubs, Mets and Rangers are advancing, haha. Shades of Andruw Jones there from Carlos Correa. Rasmus would have been a cheaper pick-up than Cabrera with more upside. Oh well. Rasmus is the kind of hitter that would hit .220 for us with no power and be a cancer in the clubhouse.

Ryan Madson sucks. KC losing Holland really hurt them. No way Wade Davis gives up 2 homers.

2015 Videogame thread
QUOTE (3GamesToLove @ Oct 11, 2015 -> 09:42 PM) So...if I don't play online, is there almost no point in getting Battlefront? I'm looking to get a PS4 sometime this fall/winter and was looking at the bundles. I have crappy rural satellite internet with a 10GB monthly allotment, so online play is a non-starter for me. There's a single player mode, but it's really not mission based. You can do split-screen or online co-op in that mode as well. I tried it and TBH it's kind of boring. Nothing like the single player missions from past Battlefront games.

Tulo with a 3 run shot. Jays up 5-0.

2015-2016 NFL Thread
QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 11, 2015 -> 04:05 PM) Yeah, but the last two weeks they have been going to Maclin a ton. It started in the second half of the Green Bay game and they were like "oooh, we didn't even know he was on the team!" We must have been taking Maclin away pretty well today. Yeah Smith finally found a receiver he's actually comfortable with.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 11, 2015 -> 02:47 PM) It's gonna make Gordon 18-25 million a year cause his other stats are normal and he's getting old. You need to understand the market is nowhere near what it used to be. The qualifying offer this year is nearly $16 million. Alex Gordon is one of the best defensive LFers in baseball and he gets on base at a .350 clip and hits for decent power. That has a lot of value, especially when teams have trouble scoring runs. Guys like Cespedes are going to get 5-6 years and $25 million a year. It's totally reasonable for Gordon to get 3-4 years and $20 million a year. That's just how the market is. You can get all up in arms about it if you want, but it's not going to change how the free agent market works.
