  1. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 17, 2014 -> 11:58 AM) He's consistently terrible. You're not winning with him. So why continue to delay the inevitable? Oh please, you really want Chad Hutchinson as your QB again? As much as I want an Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson at QB, those guys are hard to find.
  2. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Nov 17, 2014 -> 11:45 AM) They would kill to get the QB who has the most turnovers in the league? Who is one of the most paid. I would think they would rather just draft one. And have another Jake Locker situation? We went through a QB carousel for almost 2 decades before Cutler came to Chicago and it sucked hard. It sucks hard to see him underachieve for most of his tenure here, but at least you have some certainty at the most important position on the field. Not having a stable QB is one of the worst things you can have in the NFL right now.
  3. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Nov 17, 2014 -> 11:30 AM) They basically HAVE to move an OF now. I don't think they have to... They have Holiday (no one's going to take him with his contract at this point in his career), Jay, Heyward, and Bourjos. And let's face it, Bourjos is a 4th OFer at this point.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 17, 2014 -> 11:13 AM) Good deal for Cardinals, as they had soured on Miller. I would have too. His ERA was alright last year, but his peripherals sucked.
  5. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 17, 2014 -> 11:11 AM) Tennessee has had garbage qbs since McNair. Send him back to Nashville. Homecoming, etc. Teams like the Titans would kill for a QB like Cutler.
  6. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 17, 2014 -> 09:59 AM) Of those 15, 6 go to Kelce, 4 go to Charles, and 2 go to Davis. I watch the Chiefs on a weekly basis since I own Kelce and Charles and they literally have 5-6 types of passing plays. Sometimes they'll go to 10 yard routes with Bowe or Fasano/Kelce. They have check-downs to Charles. Then they also have screens for Thomas and Kelce. That's their entire passing offense.
  7. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Nov 17, 2014 -> 09:15 AM) Chiefs WR touchdowns - 0 J.J Watt receiving touchdowns - 2 How the hell have the Chiefs gone most of the year without a WR catching a touchdown. Also how are they 7-3 doing so. They still haven't given up a rushing TD. Their receivers also don't get a ton of chances since Alex Smith throws the ball like 15 times a game.
  8. Stanton can opt-out if the Marlins go cheap again. This is a great deal for him.
  9. Packers already up 24-3 with 10 minutes left in the second quarter. I know the Bears looked like s*** last week, but this Eagles team is one of the best in the NFC and they're getting destroyed in almost every possible way on defense.
  10. QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 16, 2014 -> 02:58 PM) All told, not a bad day for Bears. We still saw flashes of head-scratchingly bad play, but both sides of the ball can sleep well tonight. I assume special teams never sleeps at night You have to wonder how a team can get 40 some-odd yards on a punt fake...
  11. Rams might actually beat Denver.
  12. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Nov 16, 2014 -> 02:05 PM) Cutler being Cutler again. Somebody needs to tell him taking a sack is better than getting picked off.
  13. So there's no gameclock right now...
  14. And then we completely forget we have 3 6'4+ targets in the red zone...ugh.
  15. Good to see the offense using Cutler's mobility and the height of our receivers. We really haven't done much of this in the past month.
  16. f*** you Rodney Mcleod. He might have just given Sanders a concussion after hitting him as a defense-less receiver.
  17. Of course Jared Allen shows up against his old team. That would have been nice the 9 other games we've played this year.
  18. The Vikings defense may be bad, but this is why Cutler still deserves a chance. We're finally going down-field more and guess what, it's working.
  19. We won our first co-ed tournament today. It was in the 40s and misting/drizzling the whole time. I made it worse by sliding for a ball at the fence, then hitting my knee and shin on said fence. I did have the walk-off hit in that game though, so I had that going for me.
  20. QUOTE (TRU @ Nov 14, 2014 -> 09:42 PM) So I hit my first home run tonight, it was a bomb to left center and cleared the fence by 15-20 feet. It was also the out that ended the game because our manager didn't ask for home runs at the coin toss. How does that work...?
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 14, 2014 -> 10:53 AM) The difference isn't that great. I'd be curious where 198 IP ranks on the list of all time Cy Young award/MVP winners (obviously excluding the couple of closers who won). 24 innings is at least 3 starts' worth of innings.
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 14, 2014 -> 12:01 PM) They had some Bears insiders on CSN yesterday. Supposedly, Briggs has had a big attitude problem this year. I guess he was out at the bars until 4 AM last Friday night, mentioned zoning out in meetings etc. He is supposedly a "Lovie guy" and has never connected with this staff, and also is supposedly a little out of shape. They were mentioning one thing that may happen if this continues is Lance getting released. I'm not sure a little is the right way to put it. I noticed that Briggs looked fatter the first game of the season.
  23. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 14, 2014 -> 12:38 PM) Yeah, the material isnt as strong as it was but they are light as hell. Rose should just wear active ankle braces with his shoes, they would save him from every ankle roll possible. He already wears braces with them.
  24. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 14, 2014 -> 11:27 AM) Bruce Levine ‏@MLBBruceLevine 1h1 hour ago Four clubs still in the hunt for Russell Martin . 4-to 5 year deal $14 to $15 million a year likely . That's a lot better than what was rumored earlier ($85 million over 5 years). I'd gladly take him at $14 million a year.
  25. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 14, 2014 -> 09:41 AM) Clayton Kershaw had one more start than Chris Sale. Except he pitched 24.1 more innings. Had Sale's innings total been around 200 like Kershaw's I'm sure the voters would have given him more consideration. It's hard to win a Cy Young with only 174 innings pitched.
