If I remember correctly, Viciedo also hit a go-ahead 3 run homer off Robertson two years ago in the Bronx. The Sox have gotten to Robertson a few times in the 9th now.

I'm not sure how you can be so unprepared in that situation. The coaching staff had to know that the Yankees were going to pinch hit for Johnson with Soriano, right? In that case, the only left handed hitter Downs could have faced was Gardner and Downs should only be pitching to left handed hitters.

Petricka clearly wasn't ready. I'm not sure why nobody was up in case Downs sucked (no surprise, he sucked against right handers).
