  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 2, 2013 -> 02:35 PM) According to this post, Flacco's cap hit this year is only $7 million. $52 million guaranteed isn't that bad. But Flacco truly had a career month...and it just so happened that his career month came in the playoffs.

Anybody pre-order the Show? I have both the Vita and PS3 copies coming on Tuesday.

Walking Dead was actually good this week. Michonne actually has a little bit of personality.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 21, 2013 -> 12:42 AM) I still don't feel like last gen peaked, but a new inFamous and Watch Dogs? Sign me up. If they announce Jak 4 or Kingdom Hearts 3...launch day buy. I do wish they just stayed with the Dualshock though. No need to reinvent the wheel. The video card on the PS3 is like 6 generations old. The hardware peaked a long time ago, even for console standards. The detail you see in a PS3 game and a PC game is just not the same. You just don't notice it as much on PS3 because you play from farther away.
  5. Oh and Jimmy Butler is a f***ing boss. Start the guy at SG already.
  6. Bellinelli's three point shot was beyond awful.
  7. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Mar 3, 2013 -> 05:25 PM) gz from KC Johnson: Kirk Hinrich is wearing a walking boot. No word yet on what his latest injury is. Jesus Christ. He's a walking injury.
  8. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Mar 3, 2013 -> 04:54 PM) Yes, but I thought there was a more recent one that compared different models. There's over 3 years and 5,000 posts in here. It's hidden somewhere on the 2nd or 3rd page of this forum.
  9. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Feb 28, 2013 -> 09:41 PM) Helluva game for Noah. Nice game for Booze too, especially like his 11-12 free throws. That's gotta be the best defensive game of the year.
  10. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 28, 2013 -> 09:27 PM) 21, 20, and 11. Wowza. Have your self a game Joakim!!! How's that for a f***ing knee pad. He ought to go block a ball right into Reggie Rose's face! I'd like to see that happen.
  11. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 28, 2013 -> 01:09 PM) I am not really an audiophile. most speakers I'd listen to it on are in a car or crappy headphones. Then 165 kbps VBR should be good enough.
  12. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 28, 2013 -> 10:30 AM) I am going to rip my CD collection and I need some advice about formatting. I have a program that will allow me to rip to MP3/Apple lossless/WAV/FLAC/AAC at the same time. Obviously I need an MP3 for my digital media players, but should I also rip to a more lossless version as well for future proofing? Depends on whether or not you're an audiophile. I just convert my MP3s to 165 kbps VBR. If you can, go for variable bit rate, as it saves some space and you really don't lose out much on quality.
  13. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Feb 28, 2013 -> 09:15 AM) Sure...here is my advice. Stay away from "smart tv's", because they're charging you a premium for a bunch of incredibly dumb versions of these apps, which are of poor quality, buggy and crash prone. Save yourself 99$ by buying a 'dumb tv', and spend that same 99$ on an AppleTV3...which will be able to do everything that smart TV can do, but more, and better. Such as Vimio, Hulu, MLB/NBA, iTunes Streaming from your PC/MAC, iTunes streaming from Apple servers, movie rentals, music, Netflix, Pandora, HBO...you name it. Or, if Apple isn't your thing, check out a Roku player...again, will run the same apps as that "smart tv", only it actually is smart. Using a PS3 or Xbox 360 also works and is economical if you already have one. HTPCs aren't a bad idea either.
  14. So Penn State had eventually to win one Big Ten game...it just happened to be against the second best team in the conference. LOL
  15. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 27, 2013 -> 01:39 PM) If the example he cited occurred in the Majors, the game most closely resembling it was September 18, 2001. It wasn't quite a 9 run lead, but they scored 9 runs and did blow a 6 run lead. Between Knott's two seasons in the majors, there was only one other game that either of his teams lost where both teams scored 9 runs - the other was April 6, 2001. In that one, the DBacks went down early and fought their way back to make it somewhat interesting (though I doubt Knott was on the roster at that point anyways). Unless players were hanging around Byung-Hyun Kim after games, said player would "allegedly be" Bret Prinz. Whether it was the majors or minors changes everything, and the physical details describe Kim quite a bit better than they do Prinz. There are quite a few guys it could be too, hence the "allegedly." It's kind of fun trying to find guys who match these descriptions. I think this is either Lyle Overbay, Jack Cust, or Erubiel Durazo. Sounds like Junior Spivey
  16. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 26, 2013 -> 11:16 PM) I'm not disagreeing with you, but it's so hard to judge teams like that. Play almost nobody, and when they have, they've lost. They definitely didn't look elite against the Illini.
  17. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Feb 26, 2013 -> 10:44 PM) Step back and take a look, does the front office get away with being blame for not making moves just because Rose didn't send one single text in a situation that has already been pre-decided? I don't think so. I am not saying Reggie should have come out and said something about the FO, but it is what it is. There were opportunities to make a move before the trade deadline, and Bulls stayed put, with realization that this team is not going to compete with the Heat even if Rose comes back. Keep in mind that everyone thought the Bulls would struggle to make the playoffs without Rose prior to the season, that's why the FO opt to replace the key losses in FA with mediocre players, and possibly "throwing the season away." But until a few weeks ago, they were the 3rd seed and were 10 games above .500. They actually had a chance to compete if Rose comes back if they trade for let's say Reddick and another backup big men, but they chose to stay put just so they could avoid going further into luxury tax, once again, waiving the white flag. Let's be real here, the Bulls FO lacks any kind of imagination. They had the ping pong ball fell their way in a 1.9% chance miracle, and they are finally relevant again. You can't say Reggie Rose can't say anything about the organization just because Rose didn't send a text in a situation that didn't matter. And it is the FO's responsibility to put together a team. The FO should definitely take blame for not doing anything to put us over the top. On a bright side, this puts more pressure on the FO in the off season to make some moves, knowing that Rose and has limits in his patience and they can't take his loyalty for granted. Just look at how active the Cavs were in Lebron's final two seasons in Cleveland knowing that he might walk away after his contract is over. This.
  18. QUOTE (farmteam @ Feb 26, 2013 -> 10:17 PM) There's just something icky feeling about that. A completely different icky feeling than when Duke is #1. It feels icky because Gonzaga just isn't all that good...
  19. We're all rooting for you man!
  20. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 24, 2013 -> 02:27 PM) The "blind resumes" of Illinois and Kentucky comparison made no sense. Today was a game where if we won, holy crap, if we lose, not a big deal at this point. Haven't had one of those in a while. Go beat Nebraska, try to grab one from Iowa on the road, finish out against Ohio St and grab the first win in the BTT and see what seed that gets us. Illinois is projected to go into the tourney by all 89 mocks around the web as the 7th seed. http://bracketproject.50webs.com/matrix.htm Kentucky's only projected to go in by 67 of them at the 11th seed. Illinois is a sure-bet to make it into the tourney. How they play against Iowa or Ohio State will determine whether or not they can possibly get a 5th seed, but I don't think they can get knocked out of the tournament at this point unless they lose all of the remaining games.
  21. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 24, 2013 -> 02:08 PM) Illinois is in, I'm not remotely worried about it. Dakich and the play by play by guy were clueless as to what it takes to make it in. Dakich was so f***ing annoying.
  22. Abrams is also playing like crap.
  23. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 24, 2013 -> 01:41 PM) DJ and Paul lost this game for Illinois today. Brutal efforts from both of them. Half-court traps at the perimeter worked almost every time.
  24. WTF Richardson. Just absolutely terrible play to let Michigan go on an 8-0 run. No hustle and absolutely awful shot selection.
  25. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Feb 21, 2013 -> 10:27 PM) Illini 5 straight BT wins! I'm going to the last game against Nebraska (day after Unofficial). Hopefully they go 2-1 before then.
