  1. Padres are still 2 up on the Brewers. They have a little bit of a cushion. But with Cease going tomorrow you'd think they would want to win this one.
  2. Mariners just clinched a playoff spot on a walk off homer.
  3. Maybe you let him face Machado and Cronenworth. Then go with Lopez for Drury.
  4. Yeah, I agree. He really should be your 6th starter next year at best.
  5. Stoney mentioned this just now, but if he won't be used as a starter next year, he could be a nice long relief/multi-inning guy next year. If he can throw 97-98 as a starter, he can probably reach 100 as a reliever. With his secondary stuff, that should play.
  6. This is easily Martin's best start of the season. He's throwing up to 98 MPH and has shown a really effective slider and change up.
  7. I was following the Giants game for fantasy baseball and noticed Joc Pederson has gained even more weight than when I saw him play against the Sox earlier in the year. He's still hitting, but his OF defense is all kinds of awful. Simply put, I don't think Joc Pederson is an option to fill RF this off-season.
  8. The Sox should have 5 runs by now if they can just hit some sac flies.
  9. I didn't know who Davis Martin even was before the season but he actually has the 3rd best stuff on the starting staff right now. You can maybe even argue he's 2nd since Kopech is super inconsistent.
  10. Carlos Correa never fails at making himself look like a giant douchebag.
  11. Tony certainly didn't think so.
  12. lol that's one of the craziest things I've ever seen. The pitch hit his bat knob and goes right to 1B for the out.
  13. Has he even pitched in the past week?
  14. When did Trevor Megill start throwing 101?
  15. Slippin' Jimmy's back at it again
  16. Even though Abreu has hit over .300 since the ASB, his wOBA that time is just .340. He's been a glorified singles hitter in the 2nd half. I don't think you can bring him back next year unless it's for a very cheap price.
  17. Yeah I don't see he or Andrus being brought back after this recent stretch.
  18. No fucking s%*#. I can't believe the coaching and training staff let him play. I don't care what the player says, they should have looked at his one handed swings and IL'd him until he was pain free.
  19. Kenny was great at finding veterans that would over perform out of nowhere. Although I'm not sure how much of that was because of Don Cooper and Herm Schneider. Kenny just sucked at building any sort of farm system and often fell in love with players he liked no matter how over the hill they were.
  20. You do have to wonder how much of the player evaluation is Hahn, KW, or TLR. Cause I'm sure all 3 have a say. We've been acquiring Tony's former players left and right. And most of them have sucked.
  21. I play slow pitch softball and often there's a HR limit. So when you use the homers on solo shots, it's seen as selfish. I'm kind of laughing at the idea of Tony LaRussa thinking the same thing.
