  1. http://www.slashgear.com/apple-faces-uphil...tents-10246646/ Good luck with that Apple. I doubt HTC will settle. Apple already tried to get HTC devices banned.
  2. Why can't he just start tomorrow (or today)? I don't want to see Quintana pitch again this year.
  3. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 9, 2012 -> 11:27 PM) Santiago was mostly at 93-94 and a FEW times at 95...but definitely not consistently in the mid 90's, at least not that I noticed. Maybe you were watching a different broadcast? His face-high fastballs were all 95+ and they were very effective. Hosmer had no chance against him today.
  4. QUOTE (whitesox901 @ Sep 10, 2012 -> 12:51 AM) Worst possible time. Depending on how you view Adam vs. Wise, it could also be a good time.
  5. QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 9, 2012 -> 11:57 PM) Might've cost me my first game. He got me 7.8 points. I get a 2 point bonus for 75 receiving yards, he got 74 yards. I need Rivers to give me 25 points tomorrow for a win. Since he always does like s*** against Oakland, I'm probably going to lose.
  6. One thing that was lost in all my rage posts...I was very impressed with Santiago. 8 Ks in 4 innings is stellar. His only problem is that he gets into way too many deep counts. After he gets ahead, he gets too cute with his off-speed pitches. When he has that 95-96 MPH face-high fastball, it's hard to beat him since the hitters have to think about his off-speed pitches.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 9, 2012 -> 08:51 PM) My lineup suggestion for tomorrow is: - De Aza 8 - Youk 5 - Wise 7 - PK 3 - Rios 9 - AJ 2 -Ramirez 6 - Johnson 0 - Beckham 4 IDK about you, but I dislike Wise in the 3 spot.
  8. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Sep 9, 2012 -> 08:46 PM) That's a Pokemon.
  9. Antonio Brown's dropped 2 TD passes. This sucks.
  10. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 9, 2012 -> 04:55 PM) Typical KC loss when Sox miss playoffs by 1 game hope they remember KC! Typical insurance run RBI by Francouer too. He's absolutely useless against everyone, except us. Mostly because we don't know what a f***ing advanced scouting report is. Keep throwing him fastballs guys.
  11. Bases loaded, one out, no runs scored. Second and third, one out, no runs scored. Today has to be up there. And can they just release Ray Olmedo and bring up Conor Jackson?
  12. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Sep 9, 2012 -> 04:51 PM) I agree with you that I'm getting the 2008 vibe right now. Oh well, go Angels, and how about we beat the f***ing Tigers tomorrow? Nothing would make me happier than sweeping the Tigers and putting them out of their misery.
  13. My first reaction after Robin pulled Myers for Septimo: "f*** YOU ROBIN, YOU HAD SEPTIMO READY AND DIDN'T USE HIM AGAINST MOUSTAKAS?" Yes, I yelled that as loud as I can. Needless to say, I'm really f***ing pissed off at Robin right now.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 9, 2012 -> 04:47 PM) Don't forget bunting with Beckham after Lopez gets on, only to have Olmedo batting with 2 outs (in the 6th, with Alexei running for PK in the 7th). I don't care if we win the World Series, if Robin wins manager of the year, I'm going to freak.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 9, 2012 -> 04:43 PM) Agreed, absolutely horrible call against a guy who was throwing the ball all over. If you do it, do it with 0 strikes to at least give ADA a chance to fight in the AB. Ventura and the stupid bunt today cost us dearly. Would have been 2-1 instead of 1-2.
  16. Who the f*** bats Ray Olmedo second? And how do you let Moustakas kill Myers AGAIN when Septimo was in the bullpen and ready? Robin's an awful on-field manager. Absolutely awful.
  17. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 9, 2012 -> 12:20 AM) I'm going to make a prediction more Tiger fans show up at the Cell than Sox fans. So it will be like road games for the Sox. Sox still need to take care of business tomorrow. If tix for this series are expensive due to the horribly stupid dynamic pricing, then this may be a reality.
  18. lol Miggy gets ejected.
  19. Tigers are awful on the road.
  20. QUOTE (Real @ Sep 8, 2012 -> 05:55 PM) win, Reed is f***ing terrible, no f***ing argument He's been horrible against the Royals and Mariners this year. If it wasn't for those two teams, he'd have some pretty damn good numbers.
  21. Wow, that was not necessary. God damn you Jordan Danks and the lights.
  22. It's just never easy against the Royals...
  23. QUOTE (sunofgold @ Sep 8, 2012 -> 05:15 PM) Before todays start Home ERA 1.74 .188 BAA Away ERA 4.01 .257 BAA Looking at the schedule, this could Sales starting schedule this way 9/13 Thursday home against Tigers skip the road trip (9 game trip)...basically skipping him a start 9/24 home against Indians (first game of series) 9/29 home against Rays (third of four game series) skip the three games series away against Indians ready for potential tiebreaker game or hopefully playoffs Really just skipping him one start which has been suggested by many here. This might not be a bad idea. He could use some rest for the last two weeks of the season.
  24. Would love an insurance run here. I'm hoping we don't see Reed. It looked like he didn't have good velocity last night (sat at 93-94).
