    QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 17, 2013 -> 11:56 PM) Fantastic episode of Walking Dead tonight. Rick's f***ing crazy.
  2. Reggie Miller accredited the ESPN the Magazine interview with MJ recently to some Bleacher Report columnist. Come on Reggie...come on.
  3. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 17, 2013 -> 11:20 PM) Satisfying win tonight, thank you for making that as easy as it should be. Essentially locks up the tournament assuming 2 wins at home vs Neb and PSU. @ Iowa would help seeding, as would a win in BTT, looking like 6 or 7 seed for that. If Brandon Paul could stop playing like an ass-clown, that would be great. There's always a few "wtf" moments per game. Chucked 3's for no reason (and resulting in air balls or bricks), bad turnovers, etc. At least Abrams is playing well now, makes up for a lot of it. I think they can get a 6 seed if they go 3-2 and don't embarrass themselves too badly against Michigan or OSU. If they can beat OSU, I'd say 5 seed.
  4. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Feb 17, 2013 -> 10:12 PM) Too long. That's what she said.
  5. Today's game makes me wonder how the Illini lost to NW earlier in the year in a blowout at home.
  6. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 17, 2013 -> 07:40 PM) Dear NBA, The f***? What is this terrible pre-game entertainment? Oh, and why do we even NEED pre-game entertainment? Ugh, just terrible. You have the best all star game and can't help but make it terrible. All the performers sound like s*** too. Somebody get some better audio equipment for crying out loud. Oh and Kobe totally shut LeBron down in the last 5 minutes of the game.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 16, 2013 -> 06:15 PM) The Bargnani/Boozer deal is dead. Good.
  8. QUOTE (Jillian Michaels' Abs @ Feb 6, 2013 -> 11:37 AM) I joking said to a friend of mine who is a Brewers fan - that with the latest news to come out - Braun should give his 2011 MVP award to Matt Kemp. This resulted in an epic debate about Braun's percieved guilt - and it got me thinking (and looking up stats)... Braun 2011: .332 / .397 / .597 / .994, 38 2B, 33 HR, 111 RBI, 33 SB ( fangraphs WAR 7.6 | BBref WAR 7.7 ) Kemp 2011: .324 / .399 / .586 / .986, 33 2B, 39 HR, 126 RBI, 40 SB ( fangraphs WAR 8.8 | BBref WAR 8.3 ) Braun's team won 94 games and won their division. Remove Braun's WAR form the team record and they win 89 games and still likely make the playoffs. Kemp's team won 83 games and finished third. Remove Matt Kemp's WAR from the team record and the Dodgers finish 74-88, well below 500. Braun hits in a offense-friendly park 82 times a year. Kemp hits in a pitcher-friendly park 82 times a year. Braun had a 5.2 oWAR guy hitting behind him all season. Kemp had a 1.6 oWAR guy hitting behind him all season. Matt Kemp was CLEARLY more deserving - juice or no juice. Being a knee-jerk reactionary baseball fan... and as a Dodgers fan, I feel the same way about the 2003 MVP voting with Frank Thomas getting the shaft. I think you meant 81 games instead of 82. And Frank had a nice season in 03, but he really didn't deserve it that year. I think you meant 2000. He probably should have won it over Giambi if you take into account that Giambi was juicing out of his mind.
  9. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Feb 15, 2013 -> 12:11 PM) I don't even know a wacom stylus is. I need to Google it. I want this to replace my laptop, desktop and everything associated. The specs on the Surface Pro are impressive, though it's awfully pricy. Having Wacom digitizer allows for better writing recognition on the screen. Capacitive screens aren't meant for writing. Have you tried writing on an iPad with a stylus? It's not very precise.
  10. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Feb 15, 2013 -> 08:18 AM) Has anybody played with a Yoga yet? How portable are they? I really want an all in one machine that I can use for everything including web browsing, media center, dj'ing, music production etc. I was considering moving to a Surface Pro to replace everything, but the Yoga seems more...stable, I guess. A Nexus 10 is out of the question as a lot of the apps (Traktor, FLStudio, various VSTi's) I need aren't available for Android, but everything is available for Windows 8. I asked about the iPad for a long time ago, but I don't want to be tied into Apple and the lack of expandable storage, usb and HDMI is a killer for me. Plus, iTunes might as well be called iAids. Not gonna do it. I also wanted a Yoga a few months back. It's still a bit expensive IMO. Plus, there's no wacom stylus support yet.
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 14, 2013 -> 09:38 AM) Jay Williams... Bulls got high before games in his day http://tracking.si.com/2013/02/10/jay-will.../?xid=ob_blogs# Fred Hoiberg totally got stoned before every game with Donyell Marshall and Eddie Robinson.
  12. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Feb 14, 2013 -> 02:59 PM) Lot of people having issues with the old .33 radio code when doing this. Also forces you to stay on dated baseband instruction sets. I also read about this on xda, which is where I assume you heard about reflashing the baseband. I doubt they changed the baseband that much in one .01 revision. I think the problem I saw (this was on RootzWiki) was that people couldn't send SMS.
  13. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Feb 14, 2013 -> 02:36 PM) Just a little note, Android 4.2.2 contains baseband code that will kill the Nexus LTE hack, which allows those devices to use LTE band 4 (I believe it's that band, anyway). Can be fixed by flashing 4.2.1 radio. I'm actually looking forward to using T-Mobile's LTE on the Nexus 4 once they deploy it by the end of the year.
  14. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Feb 13, 2013 -> 10:23 AM) It honestly doesn't feel that weird using the note 2 for calls. Maybe if you're a tiny person. As an average sized dude I'd say it's really not that big. The Galaxy Note II: not for midgets.
  15. Just got back from the game. Nice easy win. Griffey and Paul couldn't shoot for s***, but Griffey had some nice hustle points. Abrams and D.J. played great.
  16. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 12, 2013 -> 08:26 PM) I think it is Rose's camp trying to force the Bulls hand into a trade. That or Rose's camp trying to downplay where he is so that if he does come back and struggle, they have enough PR out there explaining why (and thus ensuring fans wait another year and are patient). This.
  17. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Feb 12, 2013 -> 06:10 PM) Some media speculate that theres people in Derricks 'camp' who think he'd be better off sitting out season. This sucks. Derrick was quoted saying that he's nowhere near ready and that he's currently in the high 80% range in terms of progress. It shouldn't take 3 more months for him to get those 11 or 12% should it?
  18. QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ Feb 12, 2013 -> 03:04 PM) lol how in the f*** did those cocksuckers manage to predict an 80-82 record for the 2006 juggernaut club that returned a WS champ plus Jim Thome & Javy Vazquez... unreal PECOTA's been bad for a long time and they should feel bad.
  19. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Feb 12, 2013 -> 12:39 PM) Found a pic of CHW. No wonder why he has no problems with all of these huge devices. I need to get me one of those.
  20. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Feb 12, 2013 -> 12:17 PM) Keys. Okay I don't know about you guys, but I usually carry three things on me in my pants pockets. Keys, wallet, and phone. Unless you have a $500 leather wallet that is prone to scratching, I don't think it's the smartest idea to put your keys with your phone as opposed to your wallet.
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 12, 2013 -> 12:02 PM) My phone always gets left pocket to itself, or maybe with some chapstick. This. If you have two pockets, why not use both? There's no need to cram everything into one pocket.
  22. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 11:35 PM) So it consistently underrates us. They've underrated the Sox by 7.125 games on average each year. So it should be a good bet that the Sox will win 84-85 games this year then.
  23. I think you guys should check out this jailbroken app called Accelerate. It makes iOS animations way faster, which means you're actually navigating your device faster. It's like half placebo effect and half actual speed increase.
  24. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 08:20 PM) 4 years, $48 million, with a $12 million option for the 5th year if hits 550 PAs That's not that bad of a deal. The Indians' lineup is looking a lot better now with Swish, Bourn, and Reynolds. Right now it's probably 1. Bourn CF 2. Cabrera SS 3. Kipnis 2B 4. Santana C 5. Swisher RF 6. Reynolds 1B 7. Chisenhall 3B 8. Stubbs LF 9. Brantley DH They still don't have very good pitching, but that lineup should score some runs.
  25. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 06:23 PM) I put my phone in the same pocket as my wallet most of the time. Can't with a 5" phone, contrary to what the person above said...they aren't comfortable to me. You must have a thin wallet (no pun intended).
