  1. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 17, 2012 -> 09:11 PM) Get off your high horse. It's baseball. People have the right to first-guess or second-guess a baseball move. Me personally? I want to live or die with Quintana in that situation. It doesn't mean the Sox come away with a win there, but that's what I would have done. You have the right to do it, but that doesn't mean the manager is to blame all the time when a move he makes goes wrong. There are moves that look like crap from the start and end up blowing up in your face. You can blame the manager all you want for those. This was not one of them. Like I said, Addison Reed is a very capable closer, he's shown you that. He got a little unlucky today (especially on that hit and run with Herrera). It is what it is, you gotta move on.
  2. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 17, 2012 -> 09:12 PM) In all 8 save chances? For a saber guy, it surprises me you would pull out the "perfect" adjective. Tell me this...why not at least give the kid one batter? He was perfect in save situations, many of which were one run leads. And he is an extremely good pitcher from a sabermetric perspective. You'll have to ask Robin that, but there is no way that bringing in Reed was a bad decision. Call it what you want, but you can't get on Ventura for bringing in his best reliever and this is coming from a guy who has dogged him over bullpen usage the past few weeks.
  3. Just a bad 4th quarter by OKC. Game 4 is a must-win for them.
  4. Those of you b****ing about pulling Quintana need to stop, seriously. We're not dealing with 2010 Bobby Jenks as the closer, we're dealing with Addison f***ing Reed, the guy who had been perfect in save situations. The Dodgers got a few lucky hits off him, it's not like he got pounded. s*** happens. There's no guarantee Quintana pitches a scoreless 9th.
  5. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Jun 17, 2012 -> 01:18 PM) Lilli Beck Dunn Tank Rios Danks Flowers Escobar Q What's with Robin's infatuation of hitting Tank 4th? Rios is absolutely killing it. He should be hitting 3rd or 4th.
  6. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 10:39 PM) Right now id go with... PG Paul/Rondo (with DRose Hurt) SG Kobe/Wade SF Durant/Lebron/Melo PF Love/Bosh/Garnett C Howard/Aldridge You have to start both Durant and LeBron. Put LeBron on MJ.
  7. Looks like Humber will live for another start. I doubt they'll demote him to the bullpen after he won the game. Even though he really didn't deserve it.
  8. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 09:08 PM) http://www.twitter.com/adamdunn_32 Adam Dunn is now on twitter and the first person he follows is... Charlie Sheen! Oh lawd. Don't go down that path Adam.
  9. QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 17, 2012 -> 12:04 AM) Say the Cubs eat most of Dempsters contract but they want someone like Jones. Would you do it? Hell no. Nate Jones is a luxury to have, but he's got a bright future as a power arm reliever.
  10. The f*** is Coop and Robin thinking here? After the crap Crain threw last night, they're letting him pitch with the game on the line again? Jones should have been kept in.
  11. I'd like to see a pinch hitter for Humber.
  12. All the Dodgers do is hit singles.
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 15, 2012 -> 11:29 PM) Now Konerko not being able to score from 1st on Rios' double and DeAza leaving the runner at 3B with one out....some more big plays in this game. Sale's walking Hairston 3 times, Hudson's inability to react quickly enough at 3B. Flaws all over the field for this team. Those walks to Hairston were very annoying. He's not that good of a hitter.
  14. That god bad fast.
  15. God damn it. Sale charged with 5 ER.
  16. Holy crap, nice catch Gordon!
  17. Good job by Rios to get that ball back in quickly. Take Sale out.
  18. Sox bullpen just started to work, they should have been up to start the inning. Sale was at 87 pitches.
  19. Experienced 3B probably comes up with that ball.
  20. Sale might only have one more inning left in him.
  21. Great play by Gordon!
  22. I love Rios's swing when he pulls the ball with authority. So quick and seamless.
  23. Rios is a Kershaw killer.
  24. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 15, 2012 -> 10:30 PM) 80 k's for Sale on the season already in 78.6. Still averaging more than 1 K per inning pitched. Trivia question: Dodgers' all-time leader in homers?, the name won't come to mind right away. Shawn Green. lol IDK.
