Official NBA 22-23
They're not even going into the tax. It's the same old same old under a Reinsdorf org. Unless there's some miracle trade they can pull off, it's just gonna be another play-in tournament next year.

Poetl got the same deal as Vooch, but one more year. I think fit-wise, Poeltl might actually fit this current Bulls roster better than Vooch. Poeltl gives you better rim protection and rebounding at the expense of floor spacing.

They hard-capped themselves since Jevon Carter's deal is part of the non tax-payer MLE. So they can only spend $9 million more on any non vet-min signings or they would go over the tax.

So it looks like they just used half the MLE on Jevon Carter. He's more or less PatBev's replacement. I also doubt Ayo is coming back unless he's on a dirt-cheap deal.

I would have laughed at that contract a year ago, but Coby actually improved his whole game last year. At only 23, it would have sucked to let him go and see him flourish elsewhere (Lauri cough). The contract itself isn't bad. Considering Bruce Brown just got 2 and $45 million, this is actually cheap.

Coby White is coming back on a 3 year deal at $10 mil a year, apparently. Bulls are showing interest in trading for Monte Morris, as I alluded to before.

Or it means one of the mid 3 is getting traded

FVV is probably the guy you're alluding to in the 2nd paragraph, but I doubt they can make that work.

There's some decent PGs that can be had. Monte Morris would be a nice add on this team. He fits into Lonzo's disabled player exception (if it gets approved in time) and the Wizards have an influx of PGs. They can also try to sign DiVincenzo with the MLE. Both are more or less role players but much better PG options than what the Bulls currently have.

AKME just hoping this team gets hot again and somehow ends up a top 6 seed like in 2021. TBF, they do have an MLE, BAE, and disabled player exception. So they have the ability to make some moves if what AK said about going into the tax is true.

Musah is probably the odd man out, but in a tournament you never want to trot out the same midfield every game. We saw how much of a toll the WC groups took on the MMA midfield, especially when Berhalter's system is so heavy on pressing. I think you can definitely put Musah and McKennie on a rotation.

This US team is clearly the best in CONCACAF. Gio getting fit and getting a good striker in Balogun totally changes the outlook of this team offensively. We just beat Mexico and Canada 5-0 without some key players in the midfield. If this trajectory continues we'd be looking at a top 4 finish in Copa America next year.

Should they even play the last two games of this series?
That's if they can even fly out. Aren't flights out of NY cancelled?

Didn't they play the games on the west coast with the wild fires going on a few years ago? https://ktla.com/news/california/wildfire-smoke-creates-eerie-scene-at-giants-as-baseball-games/

That's another k0pech white sox winner
I noticed he's got a different windup and looks to no longer be tipping his pitches. That and the more consistent FB velo probably has a ton to do with the last 2 starts.

5/24 Sox @ Guardians 12:10PM
If I can have any schadenfreude about this god-awful year so far, it's that the Guardians haven't been able to dink their way to any success. When you don't make good quality contact, your luck will eventually run out.

Burger can't hit on the road. I think it has something to do with the pitching machine he uses at home that makes him a much better hitter. They need to start taking that thing on the road.

The USA have a new striker... Top 5 scorer in Ligue 1. At one point, he was ahead of Mbappe a few months ago. He's a huge upgrade over the pool we have now at ST and is only 21. This is big for 2026.

GT 4/29: This ends tonight! White Sox vs. Rays - 6:10 CT
Yikes man...at this point, I kind of hope this team keeps losing just so the changes happen quicker. Even the worst teams in baseball don't look this bad for 10+ games stretches. They find ways to win a game every other series at least. At some point, it's not just the talent on the roster. It's also the coaching staff.
-
Robert benched mid game for not hustling and/or tweaked hammy
I totally forgot he was even on the coaching staff.

GT 4/29: This ends tonight! White Sox vs. Rays - 6:10 CT
So he just decided not to tell his coaching staff that he was hurt...? I saw they were up 3-0 in the 7th and thought they might actually win a game...then I checked back a few hours later and saw the game ended 12-3. I couldn't care less, but even that shocked me. It's hard to give up 12 runs in 3 innings.

Sox @ Blue Jays 6:07 CT
Those teams aren't trying to win. This team is paying people a lot of money to suck.

I wonder what kind of voodoo magic the Tampa Bay front office has come up with. Cause this Rays team ended last season terribly. Now they look nearly unbeatable.

I don't think the tank teams during the rebuild years were even this bad.
