LINSANITY CONTINUES. Game winning 3 pointer. ESPN will continue to jump all over this guy.

24 points for Lin, 11 assists, and he just tied the game up. The only thing that's holding his game back is the turnovers. As long as his shot selection is solid, I don't think there should be any big concerns about his shooting efficiency.

Lin's closing in on a double-double. Too bad he's also got 6 TOs. >. It's killing his fantasy line.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 05:02 PM) What was that Floyd Mayweather? Lin is doing stuff tons of other players in the league have done??? Lin needs to go cook some rice and make some sushi rolls. FWIW, black players can't do that since they're not Asian. O.O

Sox sign Kosuke Fukudome
Very good signing. Very low risk at half a million and he can possibly replace Rios if he falls on his face again.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 7, 2012 -> 02:45 PM) Heh, installed an alternate keyboard (Swiftkey tablet) on the Nook Tablet. It's pretty much customized exactly how I want now. Nice keyboard for tablet since I'm a thumb typist. I see you have CM9 running. Nice!

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 11, 2012 -> 08:05 PM) lol@your sig. That's almost as bad as when Duke said he wouldn't trade Deng for Dwight straight up. Oh, and save the Knicks crap, people. That was a prediction gone terribly wrong. Not the first and it won't be the last bad prediction I make. But Dwight >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Deng. How is that even a prediction? That's straight up fact.

QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 11, 2012 -> 04:08 PM) They're always a very tough team to play at home, but for whatever reason, they don't play well at all the road. Perhaps it's the quality of opponents they've faced on the road, I'm not sure. edit: Also, claiming it's wrong to use the phrase "lottery team" for a team that would currently be in the lottery seems a little weird to me They're also two wins from not being in the lottery. Usually, when people say lottery teams, they mean teams that suck really badly. If the Jazz didn't play in the West, they'd be a playoff team.

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Feb 11, 2012 -> 12:34 PM) If Lin has another solid game tonight, should we dismiss as "it was against another crap team"? I like how people are dismissing the Jazz as a lottery team, even though they're actually above .500.

QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 10, 2012 -> 11:31 PM) The linsanity and jokes are all fun and games until someone starts taking it all seriously. When comments are made about how he's "definitely going to be a difference maker," someone has to step in and speak with some semblance of realism and a basic understand of what sample size is. It depends on your definition of difference maker. The Lin-less Knicks were terrible. They needed somebody to run the offense efficiently. Not Toney Douglas chucking up 15 shots a game and making only 5 of them. Not Iman Shumpert doing the same thing. Lin doesn't have to score 30 points a game to be a difference maker for New York. All he has to do is run the offense like a real PG, which I think he should be capable of, regardless of the 4 game sample size. Now, when people start talking about MVP, I'll have to start raining on parades too.

QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 10, 2012 -> 11:17 PM) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sample_size_determination Let's also calculate some confidence intervals while we're at it. While Lin could very well cool off over the next week, month, year, who the hell knows, I don't think it's nice of you to rain on other's parades like this.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 10, 2012 -> 09:53 PM) I told y'all he passed the eye test a few games ago. Thankfully I added him in both of my fantasy leagues after that performance off the bench. He is awesome. He's been awesome for me this week in a big game in my head to head points league.

I believe in Jeremy Lin. And SMH to people comparing Lin to Tebow. Tebow's stats blew hard. Lin's producing like an MVP over the past four games.

QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Feb 10, 2012 -> 08:22 PM) Correct me if I'm wrong, but but PER does not take defense into account other than defensive rebounding and personal fouls. It's hardly the end-all. It takes rebounds, steals, blocks, and personal fouls into account. That's about it...

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 9, 2012 -> 09:17 PM) Seeing as the NBA takes team record into account and is the reason why Monroe isn't an All-Star and JJ is, D-Will shouldn't be an All-star when his team is that bad and he's the floor general. Kevin Love last is an exception, as he was an injury replacement and was having historic numbers. Greg Monroe was clearly the second best center in the East. Hibbert's having a nice year, but Monroe's a freaking beast. Joe Johnson also has no business in the ASG. I'd rather see Josh Smith instead of him.

AL Central Positional Rankings
This guy's got a lot of things wrong. The Sox' bullpen, which, even after trading Santos and Frasor (who he included on accident for some reason), is still one of the better ones in the division. I also don't see how A.J. is worse than Salvador Perez, who's a B prospect (if he still was a prospect).

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 8, 2012 -> 06:59 PM) Jeremy Lin: great passer, good feel for the game, can't drive left, no jump shot. He's yet to play against a good defensive team. But when he does, I'll start judging him.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 7, 2012 -> 04:53 PM) Stop it. Iverson was an excellent ball-handler (though he got away with carrying a lot) and one of the quickest players the game has ever seen. I'm not gonna pretend to know a lot about Lin. I watched some of the game last night. He certainly doesn't posses the quickness or ball-handling ability that is required to play the point full-time. He'll definitely need assistance (screens, etc) in getting free consistently. And there's no way in hell he can guard anybody. It's nice little Rudy-like story right now. It's not gonna last. I thought Jeremy Lin played some pretty good defense...? If anything, that's one of the things that's kept his pro ball career afloat up to this point.
