  1. I had Moore in fantasy last year and it was painful how underused and mis-used he was.
  2. It depends on how you value Moore. The #9 and #61 pick have a draft value of 1642 draft points. The first pick is worth 3000. If you assume the Panthers are a bottom 10 team again next year, then that 2024 first is worth anywhere from 1500 to 650 draft points. Let's say it's 650. The 2025 2nd is probably irrelevant at this point, but let's value that at 100 points. That puts the total draft pick value at almost 2400 points. 600 points is the approximate value of the 31st pick in the draft this year. If you think Moore is worth a late 1st or early 2nd rounder, then this is a pretty fair deal. if you think Moore is worth less than that, then you probably think the Bears could have gotten more.
  3. Might be too little too late for Cuba. They would need Italy to lose out to advance. But like I said before, it's probably a good thing for Moncada and Robert's health that they don't play more than 4 games.
  4. Yoan is hitless through 2 games. Robert is 2-8. I was really hoping they'd look good against mostly minor leaguers, but it seems like they're getting attacked in all their weaknesses quite a bit (Yoan getting lots of change ups and high fastballs, Luis getting tons of sliders away).
  5. It's not like they're facing good Major League quality pitchers either. I think the only guys they've faced who are actual ML pitchers are Pallante and Festa.
  6. I guess the good thing is that Cuba will only play 4 games so the odds of them getting injured is lower.
  7. Cuba about to lose to Italy... Yoan and Robert are 0 fer this game
  8. They should have had it at the WBC.
  9. Yeah Robert has not looked good so far.
  10. Pretty interesting to see a Cuban pitcher throwing like a Japanese pitcher.
  11. I wonder what made Robert and Yoan agree to this but basically no other MLers did.
  12. Yeah he would have hit that 450 feet had he made contact.
  13. Yoan draws a walk in his first PA
  14. Clevinger's still a shithead, but hopefully now this won't be a dark cloud over the team for the regular season.
  15. I think there's 2 scenarios. Scenario 1 is if Colas breaks with the team out of ST. Then I think we end up seeing Burger in AAA. Zavala, Leury, and Sheets are probably locks. The 4th spot is a fight between whichever NRI OF has the best ST. Marisnick probably makes the most sense as he can actually play good defense. Hamilton seems like a nice guy to have around for pinch running and late inning defense, but I don't think you want him for anything more than that. Victor Reyes offers switch hitting, but his defense is really bad. Scenario 2 is Colas is in AAA to start the year. Then I think you end up with Sheets and Eloy splitting time in RF. In that scenario, Burger probably makes the team.
  16. Well now he is at the very least your 2nd best reliever. We really need Joe Kelly to not suck this year. That would help alleviate the bullpen situation quite a bit. Also Diekman not being terrible would also be nice. Bummer not even throwing in ST yet seems like a huge red flag. We really need all the bullpen arms who either sucked or didn't pitch much last year to step up.
  17. Graveman was really good in April and May last year. Then it feels like they overused him in that 7 game win streak and he was never really the same after. He was like a 5 ERA reliever after June last year IIRC.
  18. lmao I remember him doing bat drops for 350 foot fly balls.
  19. That didn't look like a wall scraper either. He only had 1 homer vs. lefties last year, even though he was much better from the right side.
  20. The Royals basically didn't have a set closer last year, I'd imagine Grifol would be comfortable with a committee.
  21. Seeing Grandal with his power back would be a huge step for the offense.
  22. Oh for sure. Almost every game with him trying to close was an adventure last year.
  23. Graveman's been shaky in ST.
  24. lmao why am I not surprised you posted this
