QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 07:14 PM) What are you talking about? You agree he's staying in Cleveland but don't like my reasons? What are your reasons then. Mine are .. he'll make just as much money in Cleveland. He doesn't want to s*** on his hometown especially coming to rival Chicago. He'll be a hero forever WHEN the Cavs win it. And they will win it with him. I think you overestimate the Bulls talent as well. He won't make jack in Cleveland. Compared to NYC and Chicago, Cleveland doesn't get him much endorsement money.

7/7 - LA vs. Sox
Lillibridge is the best DH we've had all year.

QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 07:04 PM) well, so does the Heat, NYK and everyone else, in the end it will probably drive up the other salaries about the same so guys will make a little more, but I don't see it drastically changing the landscape I think we need that money more than any of them. Well, maybe not more than Miami.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 06:32 PM) How so? Give me something to actually point out why everyone thinks they are so far apart. Frankly, I am surprised of the lack of appreciation for Rose on a chicago board. In the two years he's been in the league, he's been the best player on his team and basically the best player on the court in the playoff games he's played in. D Rose is 1st in scoring, Williams is 5th D Rose is 5th in FG%, Williams is 12th D Rose is 9th in assists, Williams is 3rd They are nearly even in Rebounds It's more than assists and points. Most NBA people will tell you that Williams is a tier 1 PG with Chris Paul. And they're pretty much right. Derrick Rose is in that second tier right now, albeit a high second tier. WARP shows this, Williams was worth 13.2 WARP last year, Rose was worth around 5.5. Williams also created 10 more wins than Rose did last year.

Wasn't he supposed to have dinner with Bosh and Wade?

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 06:10 PM) How so? Because he avg's 3 more assists than Rose does? D Rose is a much better scorer and actually already a shooter than Williams is. I wouldn't say that... Deron's here. Rose is here.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 05:55 PM) Carlos Boozer has Ben Wallace written all over it. He WILL NOT be a 20/10 guy in Chicago away from Sloan/DWill. If it gets you LeBron, who cares?

If Boozer's already agreed to a deal, then why the hell would the Bulls even think about a sign and trade?

Peavy Done for Year; Marquez Up
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 06:02 PM) What have you seen out of him for the last 25 starts which would indicate anything different? I think it's health they're worried about. Freddy still has alright stuff. He knows how to pitch. Outside of two really bad outings, he's been fairly consistent otherwise.

Peavy Done for Year; Marquez Up
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 05:51 PM) Do you really expect Freddy to keep up this pace the rest of the season? Nope. But we can hope and pray that he does and can give us Javy Vazquez numbers.

We can live with Hudson. We just need some better bats on offense...

I just see lots of money, but that could be anyone's.

Peavy Done for Year; Marquez Up
Yeah I was thinking about the mechanics bit yesterday after I heard it was a lat muscle. But at that point, I thought it might have been a couple of weeks to a month and that maybe he would rush himself back. Not the case with this one IMO.

Peavy Done for Year; Marquez Up
We really need Hudson to step up now. Guys, we had a similar staff in 08 with no 5th starter and we were able to win the thing that year. It's nowhere near f***ing over.

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 04:11 PM) Keep in mind that the Nets wanted Boozer too. This could have turned into a bidding war, but it didn't. There's something at play here. I agree. Boozer could have signed for the max. The Bulls must have really sold him on playing with LeBron again or something of that sort.
-

I know Amar'e is better than Boozer, but god damn, the Knicks overpaid. We're getting a comparable player at $20 million less.
-

The possibility of a sign and trade is still there for Boozer. The Jazz might want something back. Dump them with Deng's contract.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 04:01 PM) If he's leaving anyway, might as well get something for him. Doesn't really matter either way. I don't think they want Deng's contract.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 03:58 PM) dumb question, why no sign and trade for lebron so he can get the max? out of the question? ship deng, taj, (anyone) picks, trade exception and all? If Cleveland did that, they won't sell out any games and their fans will despise them forever.
