  1. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 20, 2008 -> 09:39 AM) it does suck though Exactly, but all the players don't want bad attention and don't tell it like it is. But when people like Lance Berkman and John Danks rip it, it's nice to see.
  2. QUOTE (rockren @ Jun 20, 2008 -> 09:37 AM) I know Wrigley will live up to that quote.....because it does suck. He joins Lance Berkman with the Wrigley hating. I like it .
  3. I hope John lives up to his words on the mound today. Nonetheless, it's funny. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/wh...-ssep20.article
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 20, 2008 -> 08:19 AM) Cubs fans are now praising Marriotti for his latest article. I really want to respect their fans as much as possible, but following Idiot Jay is pretty f-in retarded. I really hope he gets fired from the SunTimes, but it isn't gonna happen. Even after this whole Marioti vs. Telander feud.
  5. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 20, 2008 -> 08:22 AM) http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...mp;sportCat=mlb Classic.
  6. The hype of the series has me very anxious. Can't wait 'till first pitch. This is the 3rd straight lefty the Sox will face in as many days, can we prevail? Additionally, after the Cubs' bullpen explosion yesterday, how will Lou use his bullpen?
  7. Sox are gonna win today's game 2-0, Danks will get a ND after pitching 7 scoreless while fanning 8. His big moment of the game was getting Geovanny Soto to ground into a double play in the first inning with the bases loaded and one out. Carlos Quentin will hit a go-ahead RBI single in the 9th inning off of reliever Bob Howry, driving in Dewayne Wise, who pinch ran for A.J. Pierzynski. Pierzynski had led off the inning with a double to right center off of starter Ted Lilly. With 2 outs and men on first and second, Alexei Ramirez would single to right field off of Bob Howry to bring in Joe Crede. Bobby Jenks had a 1-2-3 ninth inning as he works his yellow hammer to get Derek Lee looking for the 3rd time in the game. 8. QUOTE (DABearSoX @ Jun 19, 2008 -> 10:46 PM) Pretty much sums up 75% of cub fans.... http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=gallo/080620 That is the biggest Cubs mockery ever, I love it.
  9. QUOTE (The Critic @ Jun 19, 2008 -> 08:41 PM) Scott Eyre is teyreible. That Cubs bullpen looks real bad right now. This is great, the perfect demoralizer before the cross-town series. I'm all smiles.
  10. Lol it's still not over. Floyd with a double.
  11. QUOTE (The Critic @ Jun 19, 2008 -> 08:39 PM) He won't. To Eyre is human? I'm listening to this on WGN Radio, I don't think Ron Santo is there because I'm not hearing "oh noooo"s. 8-3, this game is OVA.
  12. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 19, 2008 -> 08:35 PM) I am gonna say that Marmol's ERA without looking would be the second worst in our bullpen now after Russell. Not saying I wouldn't love to have his arm, but just funny. Marmol is as about as good as Octavio Dotel now. 7-3 Rays. .
  13. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 19, 2008 -> 08:34 PM) Awesome. For once, there's a reason to see the Cubs struggle. I bet Lou will have some hesitation going to the 'pen tomorrow. In a way, Marmol reminds me of a young Octavio Dotel. Sometimes just bad, other times, too good. Upton with a triple, it's not over.
  14. Crawford with a slam. Good night. Get the brooms ready.
  15. QUOTE (The Critic @ Jun 19, 2008 -> 07:32 PM) Terrible outing by Marmol. 2 walks and a hit batter to force in a run. 3-2 Cubs now, but the Rays have the bases loaded and no outs. How will Scott Eyre get out of this one...?
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 19, 2008 -> 07:32 PM) Quite the meltdown by Marmol. Two walks, two HBP in the 4 batters he faced. All that, and the umpire was giving him some very generous strike calls. This bodes very well for us tomorrow.
  17. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Jun 19, 2008 -> 03:29 PM) you're right about that http://mlb.mlb.com/stats/individual_player...itSplit1=vsTcha but he's a decent pitcher, he knows what he's doing, and going from a series where pitchers are just absolutely terrible to one where you're facing guys that are pretty decent, sometimes can be trouble for hitters Lilly's career numbers vs. the Sox G GS W L SV CG SHO IP H R ER HR BB K ERA WHIP BAA 9 9 5 2 0 0 0 46.1 53 32 32 11 20 35 6.22 1.58 .280 He is 5-2 against us, but that ERA and WHIP is not pretty.
  18. Back to 10 games above .500 and another impressive offensive output. Let's carry this over 8 miles north tomorrow.
  19. Sox win, it was a crazy one. JD had a hell of a game.
  20. The Brewers got out of it...somehow.
  21. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Jun 19, 2008 -> 02:41 PM) Brewer bullpen imploding at epic porportion Lol 8-7...
  22. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Jun 19, 2008 -> 03:37 PM) But what do you think about his large ass? He and Juan Uribe need to be in a competition for that.
  23. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 19, 2008 -> 03:36 PM) If they would have fired Walker, they probably would be hitting .400 this month. Probably... Unless we keep on doing this for the rest of the season, Walker needs to go. Inconsistency sucks.
  24. We better have some fuel left in the tank for the Cubs. We've been crushing the ball this week, it should carry over. Then, we'll have a week of offensive futility. That's the way it's been for the last couple of weeks...
  25. If Gavin's goes 5 and holds this lead, I'm happy.
