  1. Thankfully Ha-Seong Kim has actually been pretty good this year. The Sox are easily the biggest no brainer for Andrus. Andrus isn't an upgrade over IKF for the Yankees and he wouldn't get the kind of playing time he would would with the Sox on any other contending team.
  2. If he signs a separate contract his old contract no longer applies. Keuchel's vesting option was void when we DFA'd him and nobody picked his contract up on waivers. His new contracts with the Diamondbacks and Rangers have nothing to do with the contract he signed with us in 2019.
  3. Can't wait for Tony to hit Andrus in the 2 spot.
  4. He's been about as good as Josh Harrison offensively this year. You absolutely take that since he's actually decent on defense at SS.
  5. Didi Gregorious is out there I guess. The problem with Sosa is that he looks clueless at the plate so far and he's been a butcher in the field. He's just not ready. I honestly would rather have Romy get playing time instead of signing Didi though.
  6. Things are breaking the right way for us. If we take at least 1 of the next 2 and get some help from Detroit we go into Cleveland with the momentum and in striking distance of first place. I thought 5-2 this week would get us really back in it and that's actually looking like a possibility.
  7. I guess we're just gonna give up on this game with Velasquez in there.
  8. There's no way a manager should have to have a fan yelling at him to do the obvious thing.
  9. Hahaha wow TLR must only take advice from other old people that yell at him.
  10. Verlander has owned us for so long. But in his last start against us, he got way too predictable. The Sox hitters caught on that he wasn't really throwing anything inside and just zone hit the outer part of the zone. And with the Sox approach of going to the opposite field, that actually played right into our approach. Don't expect him to make that same mistake again tomorrow.
  11. And it showed. The guy is one Josh Harrison error away from 16 shutout innings against one of the best teams in baseball.
  12. Easily the best win since the Twins series before the ASB
  13. Why would you not face Grandal instead of Abreu?
  14. It's crazy how good he is against the Astros. We could have used it last year.
  15. And just like that Urquidy gets out of it in just 2 pitches.
  16. Cueto has basically shut out the Astros for 15 innings this year.
  17. He's got a 4.5 FIP. The Sox just love to make mediocre RHP look good.
  18. This is the Astros' B lineup and we're still gonna lose. LOL
  19. How the fuck do you hit a high change up into the ground?
  20. Another game where we don't score any runs for Cueto
  21. They've won one game since Baldelli blew up about that blocking the plate call against the Blue Jays.
  22. 11-8 isn't good but they're also still in the race. This team just loves to keep itself around but won't do anything to actually take control of the division.
  23. His stuff has ticked up recently. He just ends up giving up homers on his cutter or sinker here or there.
  24. I still remember him homering off Berrios on opening day and his helmet nearly falling off.
