  1. I don't think I've ever seen a hitter hit as many infield pop ups as Pollock.
  2. Zimmer made that diving play last night but couldn't catch that...
  3. I mean, after playing 12 innings yesterday and already winning the series, this was kind of expected.
  4. With Toronto having an off-day tomorrow and staying in Chicago the rest of today, was there really a reason for this game to be a get-away game time when neither team needs to get away?
  5. His name is Big Energy for a reason
  6. It's so ridiculous how bad our training staff is that we have to baby every player on the team by having them not even run anything out.
  7. Abreu can't run right now. He really shouldn't even be playing.
  8. He didn't even have to hustle, he just had to run. He was jogging the whole way.
  9. Just when you thought you can depend on Engel to play regularly...
  10. How is Robert still at 1st on that hit?
  11. Yup, this team keeps getting hurt and guys have to try to get back into the swing of things every time. So they never develop a rhythm or timing at the plate.
  12. He's had a pretty rough stretch of starts against good lineups. The only meh lineup he's faced the past 6 starts is the Rangers and they're not that bad. That doesn't excuse just how awful he's been though.
  13. Gio also had some really bad starts last year prior to figuring it out in July. But I don't think his ERA ever got above 4.2. His ERA is in the 5s now and that was with a pretty solid start this year. He's basically replaced Keuchel in terms of production ever since we DFA'd Keuchel.
  14. I'm not sure how they really measure sprint speed, but half our guys loaf it down to 1B so I wonder how much that affects their average sprint speed.
  15. Is Abreu really down to 17? He was in the 40s last year.
  16. The good: we won a series at home for the first time since April. We also took 3 of 6 against the Astros and Jays. Not too shabby. If you had told me we'd do that a week ago, I would have been very content. The bad: Lucas is cooked and we lost 2 players who are good defensively and have been contributing offensively.
  17. Chapman is having the game of his life at 3B.
  18. Lopez has been the 6th most valuable reliever in the AL this year according to fWAR. Pretty impressive.
  19. Gio has been ass ever since Keuchel was DFA'd. Is that a coincidence?
  20. Get me over curve on 0-2...really?
  21. Don't worry, Tanner Banks will cover a lot of this game with the way it's going.
  22. I've been impressed. He'll go with the pitch and just flick it out for a hit.
  23. I swear Pollock tries to throw the ball past the catcher almost every chance he gets.
  24. That Chapman double had a .170 xBA. Haseley probably catches that one.
