  1. That is a terrible pitch. Cueto's been getting hit hard all game. He doesn't really have good control today.
  2. Why the hell is he there to begin with?
  3. Abreu couldn't pick up that cutter.
  4. .830 xBA on that one. Unfortunate.
  5. Damn, where is the wind when you need it?
  6. AV JUST missed that one.
  7. Orioles swinging a lot on 3-0.
  8. Cueto getting hit harder the 2nd time around.
  9. There's no way Sosa can do worse than what Leury and Harrison just did.
  10. Sheets changed his stance. He's standing more upright and not as open.
  11. It's June and the team is already in August shape fitness wise.
  12. They're really trying to jump on the first pitch against Kremer.
  13. They've played the toughest schedule in baseball and are only 3.5 games worse than us. I wouldn't be surprised if they give us some trouble. It's not like we've played well against under. 500 teams at home recently.
  14. He just got to the stadium at 3. Blame the traveling secretary.
  15. Abreu is also 7 or 8 years older than most of the core of this team. And yet, he somehow still plays through pain. I'm not sure if that's just the greatness of Jose or an indictment against the rest of core.
  16. Sheets is a little faster but has no instincts at all in the OF. His routes suck and his jumps suck. Vaughn is slow and his jumps suck, but he takes good routes. Which is why you think he passes the eye test. That and he's mostly sure handed if he gets to the ball. Never forget the Cleveland announcer said, "you gotta be shitting me" when Sheets dropped a routine fly ball in RF.
  17. I can already see Tony's line of thinking here. Because Burger can't DH with Abreu nursing his hip injury, he has to play 3B. Because Harrison's been good recently, he has to play 2B. So in Tony's mind the rookie that the team just called up shouldn't play.
  18. Vaughn in RF: -1 OAA, -4 DRS, -34.7 UZR/150 in 130 innings Sheets in RF: -2 OAA, -4 DRS, -40.1 UZR/150 in 124 innings It's kind of pick your poison really. I guess Vaughn is marginally better and doesn't straight up drop routine pop flies that Sheets did.
  19. Robert not in the lineup today, so I guess he actually did get hurt yesterday.
  20. Williams is a plug and play defender, but he's probably about as useful as Tony Bradley is offensively in a half court set right now. Gobert, with all his faults in his offensive game, is at least good in pick and roll and can get you offensive boards. It's why he's been considered a neutral value offensive player all these years despite him being an old school NBA center.
  21. Yeah this is awful for him. He was finally figuring it out at the plate this year and this happens. Just a career altering injury for him.
  22. What would that trade even look like? KD for DeRozan, Vucevic, and all the draft picks we can give?
  23. Why didn't they just put on him on the 60 day?
  24. That's like a guarantee for any top White Sox prospect at this point.
