  1. His fastball has gotten hammered this year. It went from being his best pitch last year to being his worst this year. You'd think him developing his change up would help his fastball, but that really hasn't been the case.
  2. What the hell is the point of putting Moncada in at 3B now? Burger has a chance at actually hitting next inning and at this point, you need hitting, not defense.
  3. Especially when Kyle Crick has been pitching well. He even pitched 2 scoreless innings this game. TLR seems like he doesn't really know how to manage a bullpen if the team is down by a few runs. To him, a trailing by 1 run might as well mean trailing by 7.
  4. If Burger turns the double play like he's supposed to, Cease gets out of that inning with about 90 pitches.
  5. Vesia just throwing 95 MPH fastballs right by these guys.
  6. Way to kill the rally guys.
  7. He threw 1/3 of those pitches in one inning.
  8. What's sad is that if TLR didn't intentionally walk Turner, this might be a tie game.
  9. He'll be off the hook regardless, cause he's got unmatched job security.
  10. I just think it's hilarious that any time we get a rally going, a left handed pitcher is on the mound.
  11. What's dumber? Intentionally walking a guy in a 1-2 count or intentionally walking someone with the bases loaded?
  12. Muncy's been awful this year outside of his walks (kinda reminds me of pre-injury Grandal last year) and TLR basically woke him up. He's doing Dave Roberts' job for him.
  13. TLR will get all angry and slur together a word salad about how his gut told him to do it cause he's got 40 years of managerial experience.
  14. It really does suck. Me wanting to see TLR get canned (and rightfully so) is probably a coping mechanism for my immense disappointment in the position players for sucking so bad.
  15. I think part of me likes watching the TLR train wreck cause the team itself just isn't that good.
  16. Muncy was probably more pissed about the intentional walk than anyone else. That's a special form of disrespect. The batting average in an AB that goes to 1-2 is .166. Intentionally walking that guy to face the next hitter is basically saying, "I think the guy on deck has less than a 17% chance of getting a hit".
  17. The sad part is that no matter what TLR does, his job is probably secure because JR won't allow him to be fired. It's so sad that we're basically wasting a year of our competitive window.
  18. TLR didn't do his homework.
  19. TLR is so infatuated with matchups that he IBB'd a guy in a 1-2 count to get a "better" matchup and then the better matchup results in a 3 run homer. This is what happens when you become a slave to platoon splits.
  20. He really IBB'd a guy in a 1-2 count? Jesus Christ...
  21. He really hasn't hit for much power since coming back from COVID.
  22. Burger just absolutely punishes mistakes. Hang a breaking pitch to him and it's probably a homer.
  23. The ball from Barnes that he failed to handle was with 1 out. Betts struck out for 2 outs. At that point, the inning is theoretically over so any runs after that aren't earned.
  24. Burger makes up for it...somewhat.
  25. For who? He just struck out Betts on some really good pitches. And the contact off him up to that point wasn't hard. They made a huge mistake with sequencing to Freeman and the inning unraveled after Burger failed to make the 2nd routine play of the inning. Games against great teams like the Dodgers are usually won on the margins, and we made 3 huge mistakes that inning that other good teams simply do not make.
