Cubs 2022 thread
The Brewers just look like they can't hit. Nobody in that lineup really scares you.

2022 AL Central catch all thread
It's pretty cold in KC, but Greinke was throwing 90-91 and that's probably as hard as he'll throw these days.

Micker Adolfo DFA'd
Aren't they first in the waiver order?

The Brewers pitching is not looking very good.

Hendricks is getting a lot of calls off the corner thus far. Narvaez's framing numbers are better but he still looks awkward when he yanks pitches back too aggressively.

As I say that, Burnes strikes out the side. The pitch communication device the Brewers are using is pretty cool.

Moncada IL, Burger up; Burr IL, Foster up
- Opening Day Roster
I would have hit Vaughn 6th, especially with a lefty on the mound. Eloy ain't getting shit to hit tomorrow with Leury right behind him.- Moncada IL, Burger up; Burr IL, Foster up
Madrigal would have tried to field the ball, fumble it, and then manage to lose the grip on the ball as he's throwing it.- Moncada IL, Burger up; Burr IL, Foster up
Oh I agree. He's perfect if you need somebody in the 5th or 6th inning. I just hope we'll never push him to pitch the 8th like he did a few times last year.- Moncada IL, Burger up; Burr IL, Foster up
Yeah, this won't help the part of the fanbase who thinks that Moncada sucks.- Moncada IL, Burger up; Burr IL, Foster up
I think it's cause Ruiz seems to never pitch well when it actually matters. He did look decent once or twice in a high leverage situation, but he usually got smacked when he had to hold a small lead late. The numbers back this up too. Low leverage: 53.1 IP, 3.25 FIP Med leverage: 9.2 IP, 7 FIP High leverage: 2 IP, 9.2 FIP- Moncada IL, Burger up; Burr IL, Foster up
Having 2019 Moncada back would be great, but if you get post-injury 2021 Robert and 2020 Eloy back full-time, I don't think it's necessary. All I need Yoan to do is at least hit like he did last year. If he's not gonna hit for power, at least get on base so the other guys in the lineup get a chance to drive him in.- Moncada IL, Burger up; Burr IL, Foster up
Wooo, Leury isn't leading off! Guessing tomorrow's lineup will be 1. Pollock RF 2. Robert CF 3. Abreu 1B 4. Grandal C 5. Jimenez LF 6. Vaughn DH 7. Leury SS 8. Harrison 2B 9. Burger 3B- Micker Adolfo DFA'd
At this point, you just want to choose where Adolfo goes.- Moncada IL, Burger up; Burr IL, Foster up
Burger will get his shot. Yoan didn't look right all spring. Maybe the oblique was part of the problem.- Spring Training thread
Why wouldn't they call up Burger to play 3B?- Offseason Part 3 - Because Part 2 Was a Dud
Both Seby and Adolfo will have to go through waivers if they're DFA'd. I think the FO are definitely trying to work out a trade for both. You'd rather choose where Adolfo goes to than have him possibly get picked up by someone in the division.- Offseason Part 3 - Because Part 2 Was a Dud
This is probably the case.- Offseason Part 3 - Because Part 2 Was a Dud
Take this with a grain of salt- Offseason Part 3 - Because Part 2 Was a Dud
Yeah, I don't think we should be in the business of helping the Twins and Padres facilitate deals.- Offseason Part 3 - Because Part 2 Was a Dud
Rosenthal did make it sound like this is more than just 2 teams.- Offseason Part 3 - Because Part 2 Was a Dud
You're probably right about them needing Myers even though he's overpaid. It'll be interesting to see what other prospect Minnesota gets if they do include Larnach into this deal. I have a hard time believing the Padres would give up a ton of their pitching depth for Larnach and Rogers.- Offseason Part 3 - Because Part 2 Was a Dud
I could see the Padres getting Rogers with them sending Myers and Paddack along with some money. I'm not sure why they'd have to include Larnach into the trade unless they're trying to bring back better prospects from San Diego. Rogers and Larnach for Paddack, Gore, and Pagan probably works out. - Opening Day Roster
