  1. What the hell happened to McGuire's power these last 2 years? He went from a .200 ISO to 2020 Nick Madrigal the past 2 years.
  2. In all seriousness, McGuire is a great framer. We needed to make this deal.
  3. Hope he hits some jacks all the way to the parking lot for us.
  4. He had the 2nd to last batter struck out. Ump just didn't give it to him.
  5. I'd rather have Alex Cobb for $10 million this year than those 2.
  6. FUCK THE PADRES
  7. Cueto feels like Mat Latos all over again.
  8. Damn we really can't have nice things can we?
  9. His framing numbers are really good. He was worth +15 runs on defense last year in only half a season's worth of playing time. He can't hit for shit, but he can catch.
  10. Hosmer as a full time DH would have been puke worthy. Hosmer's contract is a lot like Keuchel's, except you're stuck with it for like 4 more years.
  11. I'm surprised nobody has signed Goodwin to even a minor league deal. He was good enough last year to at least be OF depth.
  12. Why the Cubs would even consider taking Hosmer made no sense to me.
  13. He didn't even pitch in AAA. Guardians are either really short on starters or they really like him.
  14. Kimbrel's curve was at least pretty good with us. He just tended to hit left handed hitters with it. I wouldn't be too worried about him hanging curveballs in Arizona, if I'm the Dodgers I'd be more concerned with his control and velocity on the fastball.
  15. I'm sure he'll go back to throwing 98 again when he gets to close. I'm not sure what the hell Kimbrel was doing in the off-season, but apparently he came into camp throwing 90. I'm not too familiar with how long it takes pitchers to ramp up in ST, but it's hard to believe he can ramp up 8 MPH when a lot of the other guys on the team were already throwing hard 2 weeks ago.
  16. We've already won the trade!
  17. TLR is gonna be beside himself deciding which grindy utility player he'll have to play - Leury or Harrison.
  18. For a guy who had high scouting marks in speed, defense, and make-up, what we actually saw in those departments was severely disappointing. His bat lived up to the hype and then some when he finally started hitting for a little power before he got hurt. He wasn't a 60 grade speed guy like the scouting reports said. More like a 50 or 55. His fielding was just average and he'd panic in certain fielding situations. Same with his base running decisions. For a guy who was supposed to have high baseball IQ, he did a lot of stupid shit on the bases. One of them cost him most of 2020.
  19. I'm just glad he's not our problem anymore. The team "misusing" him probably helped hide some of the very real issues he had with us. The lower velocity and poor control were definitely mechanics related and not a complete product of him not closing games. Maybe the Dodgers know how to fix him like the Cubs did, because whatever we did didn't work.
  20. Harrison is basically an older Madrigal-lite. Both rarely strike out and both don't hit the ball hard. Harrison is probably an upgrade on Nick defensively.
  21. Damn, we found someone who thinks more highly of Madrigal than Nick Madrigal. He said he should get to 3000 hits, but he never promised a .400 season!
  22. Pollock was very well liked in LA, he should have no issues fitting in here.
  23. Basically right handed Keuchel at this point.
  24. Did KW like Justin Upton?
