He's no longer Gio's personal catcher after last night I'd assume. Yesterday was the perfect day for him to get a start and he didn't get one.

I guess TLR saw that Jax has reverse splits and stacked the lineup with righties.

Jax in his last 3 starts: 14.1 innings 1.88 ERA. He struck out 6 in 4 innings against us the last time he faced us, but only struck out 2 in his last 2 starts combined.

He got placed on the covid list on August 2nd so I think he's eligible to come back on the 12th. With the way their rotation is lined up though, it looks like he should be back on Saturday.

I hope Hoberg gets the nod at HP for this game. He's one of the best umpires in baseball. Both accurate and consistent according to UmpireScorecards.
