The TLR Manager Thread
I've always thought the Sox have been behind the times in terms of sabermetrics. I thought we had made some progress last year, but now we're back in the stone age in terms of shifting and sac bunts.

Lorretta's Lounge renamed after TLR
No she passed away in 2014. One of her daughters works at the park still, IIRC.

GT 5/27: ORIOLES @ SOX
If you watch the Jomboy video on it, it's pretty clear Javy didn't know the rules either. He's still signaling safe that the runner scored at home when that won't matter if he gets tagged out or thrown out at 1st. If the 2nd baseman was actually at 1st instead of watching the disaster unravel, the run wouldn't have scored.

The dumbest play in baseball history
It's the same logic as running out of the base path really. You're really delaying the inevitable or trying to run away from the play. But this play is completely on the Pirates. It's 2 outs, all you had to do was step on 1st. The runner doesn't even score if you get the force out.

"sticky substances"
All this talk about not enough offense and moving the mound back...but the easiest solution really is to make sure guys don't get crazy spin rates from whatever foreign substance they're using.

We only sac bunted once last year?
