  1. Benetti is on with Dan Bernstein right now. He's saying he didn't think the Sox would clean house, but that the Billy Donovan hire may have signaled a change in philosphy for JR.
  2. Cora and Hinch are suspended until the end of the 2020 World Series.
  3. You can tell the clubhouse wasn't right towards the end. Winning breeds chemistry. And if you go from winning 2/3 of your games to losing for an entire week, whatever chemistry you had before the losing streak isn't going to just stay there. Especially because this team lost some absolute heartbreakers in that stretch and some of those were because of Ricky's dumbass decisions.
  4. If Ricky didn't blow the second game in Cleveland, maybe Dallas wouldn't have needed to go 6 innings in his last start of the season. The 114 pitches in the Cubs game where we were up by 8 was also extremely unnecessary. And that was just 2 starts before he screwed up his back in KC.
  5. At least Brantley isn't gonna hit below .200. Joc does seem like another sub .200 hitter waiting to happen if we sign him.
  6. Hahn says a manager that can speak Spanish is important, but not essential.
  7. Hahn basically saying McCann won't be back.
  8. And how did he hit that well after the injury? Pretty incredible.
  9. That's gotta be a part of it. I mean, go back and look at how good ReyLo was with the Nationals. And look how badly he's regressed in the 4 years since. That should not happen.
  10. Haha, it's exactly what we needed heading into last off-season.
  11. This is probably the best presser in Rick Hahn's tenure as GM. So much new information. Not so much lawyer speak.
  12. I said this in the last week of the season...the losing streak at the end of the season was a silver lining. It showed the FO just how bad of a manager Ricky was and we still made the playoffs to get that experience for our young guys. In the long run, it was a blessing in disguise. Now we'll be able to re-do our coaching staff and create a new way of thinking going forward.
  13. He definitely makes more sense than Hinch if we're gonna bring in somebody who has cheated.
  14. Probably. Their hitters didn't do shit in the regular season and have all woken up. Springer, Altuve, Correa, and Brantley are all hitting well. Their pitching doesn't need to be good when their offense is putting up almost 8 runs a game.
  15. Why couldn't we hit like the Astros? Not having Eloy really screwed our offense.
  16. The A's staff is clearly not as good as we made them look. But this Astros team has a lot of playoff experience and talent that didn't play well during the regular season.
  17. Cubs just forgot how to hit. Gotta give the Marlins a ton of credit. They overcame COVID and look like a pretty good up and coming team with their pitching.
  18. Darvish just ran out of gas. He was hanging sliders to the last 3 batters he faced.
  19. The 3 weeks where we barely lost were the most fun I've had watching baseball since 05 or 06. In such a short season this team really went through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. It was fun regardless though.
  20. Hope Hicks' results only came out cause it leaked. They were initially trying to keep this on the down low.
  21. I don't really know if Dunning got lit up. He gave up a single on a low fastball to La Stella. He did hang the slider to Canha that got him pulled. But from the pitch charts, that was the only slider he hung. All the other ones were lower in the zone or out of the zone. Either way, Ricky has said the plan was to have Crochet face Olson. So the initial plan was for Dunning to only pitch to 5 hitters.
