So is telling me I should stop complaining when I just made an observation. A 3-4 MPH dip in his fastball and getting taken to the warning track by fucking Roberto Perez is a huge departure from how dominant he was the previous 4 innings.

I'm not complaining. I just noticed his stuff seemed off after starting to pitch from the stretch after the double.

Something seemed off with Lucas in that inning. Maybe it's cause he was pitching from the stretch, but his fastball was nowhere near as crisp and he had issues getting the change over until the last 2 pitches.

He hit for 122 wRC+ and has a 128 wRC+ this year. I don't see how he can't be considered an above average hitter.

He's still a terrible catcher defensively. The advanced metrics hated him last year, but they hate him slightly less this year. With how bad our DHs have been historically, I'd take his consistent 120 wRC+ there.

I just looked it up. We've had the softest strength of schedule in baseball so far. It's probably not gonna get any easier from here on out.
